Mitochondrial structure, ATP generation, biogenesis, and expression of mitochondria-associated microRNAs were also assessed. There were 96 nDNA-encoded mitochondrial genes upregulated and 12 mtDNA-encoded genes downregulated in RAS-STCs versus normal STCs.
