Methods This is a retrospective cohort study of all pregnant women with a singleton gestation who underwent physical examination-indicated cerclage placement and delivered at Northwestern Memorial Hospital from 2009 to 2018. Physical examination-indicated cerclage was performed in the setting of painless cervical dilation of at least 1 cm between 16 0/7 and 23 6/7 weeks of gestation.
