The aIIV4 should be administered by intramuscular injection. Like other influenza vaccines, aIIV4 carries a warning regarding the occurrence of Guillain-Barré syndrome. The package insert indicates that delirium and delirium-like events have been reported with the use of oseltamivir during postmarketing surveillance.
