Untreated ADHD can lead to a variety of issues, including financial problems, poor performance at work, relationship issues automobile accidents, and addiction to drugs. The primary issue with untreated ADHD in adults is a lack of attention which causes difficulty in following instructions, complete tasks and keep the track of professional and personal commitments. Untreated ADHD can make it difficult for people to pay attention. This can result in miscommunications at workplace and at home, as well as missed opportunities. Having untreated ADHD can make it difficult to deal with the emotions and experiences that come with it, causing impulsive behavior and rapid mood swings. Adults who are not treated for ADHD have trouble managing their emotions. This can cause problems with family and friends. They could be at a higher risk of bipolar disorder as well as other mood disorders like anxiety and depression. A lack of access to healthcare and limited treatment options can hinder the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in adults.
