[Establishment as well as Use of Leukemia-Lymphoma Cell Lines--Review]. Carbon-based systems have been discussed as prospective alternatives for conventional metal-based catalysts over the past decade. These studies were motivated by the abundance, low cost, lightweight and diversity of structural allotropes of carbon. We reported here the synthesis of a new type of unzipped multiwalled carbon nanotubes/titanium dioxide (UzMWCNT/TiO2) nanocomposite by the two-stage procedure. By the modified Hummers method, multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were converted to oxidized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (O-MWCNT). Then, through a facile ultrasound-assisted route prepared UzMWCNT/TiO2 nanocomposite. For this, the oxidized multiwalled carbon nanotubes are treated with TiCl4 under an ultrasonic probe for 3 h to generate UzMWCNT/TiO2 and then explored its environmental friendliness and energy applications as a supercapacitor. https://www.selleckchem.com/TGF-beta.html This novel UzMWCNT/TiO2 nanocomposite was characterized using XRD, TGA, FT-IR, Raman, TEM and EDX analysis. The electrochemical performance can be evaluated by using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charging-discharging (GCD) study. Finally, the electrodes prepared using UzMWCNT/TiO2 nanocomposite have been analyzed through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) to probe the charge transfer characteristics and the results are consistent with other electrochemical measurements. Hydrodynamic cavitation (HC) and Fe(II) are advanced oxidation processes, in which pentachlorophenol (PCP) is treated by the redox method of activating persulfate (PS). The kinetics and mechanism of the HC and Fe(II) activation of PS were examined in aqueous solution using an electron spin resonance (ESR) spin trapping technique and radical trapping with pure compounds. The optimum ratio of Fe(II)/PS was 12, and the hydroxyl radical (HO) and sulfate radical (SO4-) generation rate were 5.56 mM h-1 and 8.62 μM h-1, respectively. The generation rate and Rct of HO and SO4- at pH 3 and 50 °C in the Fe(II)/PS/HC system are 7584.6 μM h-1, 0.013 and 24.02 μM h-1, 3.95, respectively. The number of radicals was reduced as the pH increased, and it increased with increasing temperature. The PCP reaction rate constants was 4.39 × 10-2 min-1 at pH 3 and 50 °C. The activation energy was 10.68 kJ mol-1. In addition, the mechanism of PCP treatment in the Fe(II)/PS/HC system was a redox reaction, and the HO-/SO4- contribution was 81.1 and 18.9%, respectively. In this study, we first examined PCP oxidation through HO and SO4- quantification using only the Fe(II)/PS/HC process. Furthermore, the results provide the foundation for activation of PS by HC and Fe(II), but also provide a data basis for similar organic treatments other than PCP. Photoacoustic imaging is a hybrid biomedical imaging technique, combining rich optical contrasts and good acoustic resolution in deep tissues. As a noninvasive and nonionized imaging method, photoacoustic imaging has shown great potentials in biomedicine in the past decade. In this review, we give a brief introduction of the physical principle and three major implementations of photoacoustic imaging. Then, we present pictures of some recent progress about the extraction of new imaging parameters from photoacoustic radio-frequency signals. These parameters are highly associated with the tissue microstructure characteristics, including characteristic size, number density, and elasticity. This information could give us insight into various properties of tissue in-depth and be applied to tissue classification for basic research and clinical settings. The high-melting-point joints by transient-liquid-phase are increasingly playing a crucial role in the die bonding for the high temperature electronic components. In this study, three kinds of Sn/Ni composite solder pastes composed of different sizes of Ni particles were synthesized to accelerate metallurgical reaction among Sn/Ni interfaces under the ultrasonic-assisted transient liquid phase (U-TLP) soldering. The temperature evolution, microstructure and mechanical property in joints composed by these composite solder pastes with or without ultrasonic energy were systemically investigated. The intermetallic joint consisted of high-melting-point sole Ni3Sn4 intermetallic compound with a little residual Ni was obtained under the conditions of no pressure and lower power (200 W) in a high-temperature duration of only 10 s, its shear strength was up to 45.3 MPa. Ultrasonic effects significantly accelerated the reaction among the interfaces of liquid Sn and solid Ni, which attributed to the temperature rise caused by acoustic cavitation because of large number of liquid/solid interfaces during U-TLP, resulting in accelerated solid/liquid interfacial diffusion and growth of intermetallic compounds. This intermetallic joint formed by U-TLP soldering has a promising potential for applications in high-power device packaging. A green method for simultaneous extraction and enrichment of flavonoids from Euonymus alatus was developed by ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) and temperature-induced cloud point extraction (TICPE) using PEG-base aqueous solution as the extractant. Based on screening different molecular weights of PEGs, PEG-400/water was used as the extractant, and the effects of key factors on extraction yields of flavonoids were investigated by single-factor experiments and response surface methodology (RSM). The optimum conditions of UAE were as follows PEG-400 concentration of 16% (w/w), particle size of 80 mesh, solvent-to-material ratio of 601, extraction temperature of 90 °C and extraction time of 15 min. The results obtained by validation experiments were consistent with the values predicted by RSM. https://www.selleckchem.com/TGF-beta.html Temperature-induced formation of the aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) and TICPE process were further investigated by controlling temperature and adding (NH4)2SO4. In the presence of (NH4)2SO4, the ATPS formed at 75 ℃ and pH 3.5 could effectively improve separation and recovery of flavonoids with enrichment factor of above five times. Gallic acid, catechin, dihydromyricetin and ellagic acid in the extract were identified and confirmed by UPLC-Q-TOF-MS and the corresponding standards. The UAE-TICPE coupled to HPLC was successfully applied for extraction and determination of flavonoids in two batches of Euonymus alatus. The extraction yields of catechin, dihydromyricetin and total flavonoids were 0.377-0.684 mg/g, 1.091-1.353 mg/g and 2.612-3.146 mg/g, respectively. Compared to conventional extraction methods, PEG-based UAE integrated with TICPE in one-step procedure exhibited higher extraction efficiency and better extraction selectivity.
