At the job site Glaziers measure and mark lines or patterns on the glass prior to cutting it, if needed. They also remove broken glass to prepare the area for a new installation. Glaziers then employ mastic, paste bolts, or putty to fix the glass. After they're done, they tidy up the area. The formal training of a glazier usually takes about four years. It includes 144 hours of technical training and 2,000 hours of on-the-job training.
