There is a much lower risk of error when dealing with enclosed spaces, and even a minor error could have devastating consequences. The first step to entering spaces that are restricted is to conduct an entrance assessment. This will identify and assess any risks that could be real or possibile. These may include checking that oxygen levels are safe (21 percent or greater) and that flammable gases or toxic gasses are not present.
