https://panditforgrihapraveshpujainban.godaddysites.com Dwar Puja, or the devotion of doors, is a sacred ritual in Hinduism, performed to invite positive energy for protection, prosperity, and the removal of unfavorable influences. It is commonly performed during new beginnings or when starting life in a new residence. The belief behind Dwar Puja is that the door serves as the portal for positive energies and good luck. By performing this ritual, one ensures that only auspicious forces enter, while evil forces is kept at bay. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to perform this ritual: ### 1. **Preparation** Before beginning the puja, ensure that the door area is neat and free from obstructions. Cleanliness is an essential aspect of any Hindu ritual, as it symbolizes purity and invites divine blessings. Gather all the necessary puja materials. You will need: - Fragrant blossoms - Incense sticks - Camphor - Whole coconut - Diya (lamp) - Fruits, sweets, and prasad - A small brass or copper plate - Sacred thread - Red powder - Akshat - A representation of your deity ### 2. **Set Up the Puja Area** Place a sanitized surface or a platform near the door or on the doorstep, depending on the space available. If possible, place a small idol or image of your family deity, as they are considered a divine protector. You can also place a bowl of rice in the center of the thali. ### 3. **Invoke Lord Ganesha** Begin the puja by praying to Lord Ganesha, the remover of hindrances and the symbol of success. Light the lamp and incense sticks as offerings to Ganesha. Offer fresh flowers, and some rice, and chant the mantra **"Om Gan Ganapataye Namah"** to call upon Lord Ganesha’s blessings for the removal of impediments and to bless the completion of the puja. ### 4. **Praying for Protection and Prosperity** Once Lord Ganesha is honored, it is time to offer prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the family. You can recite prayers that are dedicated to the deities or the situation.
