https://yamcode.com/ https://notes.io/wM1St Untreated ADHD in Adults Untreated ADHD can lead to many problems. This includes financial problems relationships, relationship issues, drug abuse, and criminal behavior. A study revealed that over half of those imprisoned on charges of crimes were diagnosed with ADHD. Untreated ADHD patients are more likely to develop mental health problems that co-occur. These conditions include anxiety and depression. Inadequate awareness Adults who suffer from untreated ADHD are often unaware that they suffer from it, or are unaware of its impact on their daily lives. Family, friends and colleagues might not be aware of their condition. This is why they may not seek treatment. This ignorance is further exacerbated by the stigma associated with mental health disorders and the fear of negative side effects of medications. While the signs of ADHD are more apparent in children, they may be concealed in adults as well. People who suffer from ADHD may lose things often and forget appointments, or make impulsive choices. These behaviors can affect the performance of an individual's job as well as relationships. They can also result in financial difficulties and substance abuse issues and even legal issues. The symptoms of ADHD can cause serious issues in the workplace. People with ADHD are at a higher risk of being fired from their jobs or leaving their jobs. They also have a higher risk of being involved in traffic accidents. They aren't able to filter out distractions such as music, conversations or events that are happening around them. In addition, they tend to be fast-moving and are prone to overreact. Untreated ADHD can contribute to other mental health issues. It can worsen anxiety and depression and may also worsen physical health conditions like obesity and heart disease. The longer a person goes untreated, the greater their chances of developing dementia or other cognitive impairments as they get older. suffering from untreated ADHD
