Given the importance of assessment and monitoring HRQoL in children with ALL, health professionals should be aware of how parents' chronic disease affects HRQoL. Psychosocial support should be provided to children and their parents, especially for those whose parents have a chronic illness.Thrombotic microangiopathies (TMAs) are a group of disorders characterized by microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and end-organ damage. It can often be challenging to determine the underlying etiology. Workup for the atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome was unrevealing. The authors propose that the pancreatitis triggered a secondary TMA, which although rare, has previously been described in the literature. This case illustrates the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges associated with TMAs.Ben Brahim, M, Bougatfa, R, Makni, E, Gonzalez, PP, Yasin, H, Tarwneh, R, Moalla, W, and Elloumi, M.
