https://cases.gg/item-upgrader Path of Exile Item Upgrading The ability to upgrade items allows players to improve their weapons and equipment with new affixes, increasing its base stats or providing additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player needs to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln. Usually items with weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a stronger base, while objects with strong bases, such as eth titans do not vary in their stats following being upgraded. Upgrade components Upgrade components are items that can be used to upgrade trinkets, weapons, armor and tools for gathering, offering an attribute bonus or additional effect when the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, or found as loot by enemies, or obtained from chests or missions. Some upgrades additionally have special cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require the equipment to be at a certain level before they can be upgraded. In order to upgrade an item of armor, the player must select it and then click on the Upgrade button on the toolbar. This will show on the right-hand side of the screen a preview of the expected upgrade stats and the components or materials required for the upgrade. There are three types of upgrade components that are universal upgrades, prefix upgrades, and suffix upgrades. Universal upgrades, which comprise gems, can be put in any type of equipment and offer less bonuses than upgrade components that are restricted to a specific type. Infusions are gems that are only available in legendary and ascended equipment. They offer the same bonuses as jewels, but cannot be used in other equipment. Suffix upgrades can be added to gathering tools. They add the suffix at the end of item names. For example, adding a Glyph will transform the staff wrapping of Minor Vigor into a Canthan staff wrapping of Minor Vigor.
