https://pragmatickr.com/ Experience - How Pragmatic Experience Can Affect Your Interpersonal Relationships Pragmatism can be a valuable characteristic in a variety of professional fields. In terms of interpersonal relations, however, people who are pragmatic may be difficult to deal with for their families and friends. The case examples in this article show the strong synergy between the pragmatism of patient-oriented research. Three principles of methodological research that emphasize the intrinsic connection between these two paradigms are outlined. 1. Concentrate on the facts Rather than being strict in adherent to procedures and rules Practical experience is more about the way things actually happen in real life. For instance when a craftsman is hammering in a nail, and it is thrown out of his hands but he doesn't head back up the ladder to retrieve it. Instead the worker simply moves to the next nail and continues with his work. This is not only a practical approach but is also logical in terms of development. In the end it's much more efficient to move on to another task than to try to return to where you lost your grip. For patient-oriented researchers the pragmatic approach is particularly useful because it enables an easier approach to research design and data collection. This flexibility allows for an overall, individual approach to research, as well as the ability to change to changing research questions throughout the course of the study (see Project Examples 1). Pragmatism is also a good framework for patient oriented research as it is a perfect fit for both the fundamental values of this type of research: cooperative problem solving and democratic values. The pragmatist philosophy also provides an excellent fit with the pragmatic method of inquiry. The pragmatic method is a strategy that combines qualitative and quantitative methods to gain a better understanding of the subject being studied. This method allows for a transparent and accountable researc
