No significant differences in the incidence of complications and adverse events from TXA use were observed among the 3 groups. The use of TXA, the operation time, and the number of fusion segments were identified as risk factors related to total blood loss. CONCLUSION Two doses of TXA significantly reduced the total blood loss, the hidden blood loss and postoperative drainage, and decreased hemoglobin and hematocrit drop in patients undergoing posterior lumbar fusion without increasing the risk of complications.STUDY DESIGN This was a retrospective study that was carried out using prospectively collected registry data. Identifying predictors of outcomes may aid surgical decision-making and facilitate counseling of patients to manage expectations. METHODS Prospectively collected registry data of 104 patients who underwent single-level ACDF for cervical spondylotic myelopathy were reviewed. Outcomes assessed at 2 years were the presence of residual neck pain/arm pain (AP), and attainment of a minimal clinically important difference (MCID) for Neck Disability Index (NDI), Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score, and Physical Component Score (PCS) of SF-36, as well as patient satisfaction, fulfilment of expectations, willingness to undergoess to undergo same surgery, and RTF with at least 70% sensitivity and 50% specificity.
