Nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has gradually become one of the deadliest threats to human health and life worldwide. Although reports have shown that circular RNAs (circRNAs) are associated with progression and metastasis of NSCLC, the biological functions of circRNAs during these processes remain largely unknown. Our study showed that circ_0000079 (CiR79) levels were significantly downregulated in NSCLC patients, especially in cisplatin (DDP)-resistant NSCLC patients, and low circ_0000079 levels were significantly associated with poor overall survival of NSCLC patients. Then, results from Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) cell viability assay and transwell cell invasion assay in A549/DDP and H460/DDP cells transfected with pCDH-CiR79 expression vector showed that circ_0000079 overexpression significantly inhibited cell proliferation and invasion of these DDP-resistant NSCLC cells. The online bioinformatic program StarBase and RNA-binding protein immunoprecipitation predicted and demonstrated that circ_0000079 ctial biomarker and therapeutic target for NSCLC.This study focused on the creation and validation of an instrument to measure mental health professionals' attitudes towards people living with HIV/AIDS. Rasch analyses (Rash, 1960, 1980) provided evidence to support a twodimensional (societal and personal dimensions) measurement of this attitude construct. Severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the pathogen responsible for the global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). From the first reported cases in December 2019, the virus has spread to over 4 million people worldwide. Human-to-human transmission occurs mainly through the aerosolization of respiratory droplets. Transmission also occurs through contact with contaminated surfaces and other fomites. Improved antisepsis of human and nonhuman surfaces has been identified as a key feature of transmission reduction. There are no previous studies of povidone iodine (PVP-I) against SARS-CoV-2. This study evaluated nasal and oral antiseptic formulations of PVP-I for virucidal activity against SARS-CoV-2. This is the first report on the efficacy of PVP-I against the virus that causes COVID-19. Povidone iodine nasal antiseptic formulations and PVP-I oral rinse antiseptic formulations from 1% to 5% concentrations as well as controls were studied for virucidal efficacy against thetion in known or suspected cases of COVID-19.Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer affecting women worldwide, and the second leading cancer in Ethiopia. Screening gives protective benefits associated with a reduction in the incidence of invasive cervical cancer and mortality. However, the level of cervical cancer screening uptake is not well document in the country. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and predictors of cervical cancer screening service uptake among women aged 25 years and above in Sidama zone, southern Ethiopia, 2019. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 838 women aged 25 and above years by using an interviewer-administered questionnaire. Multi-stage sampling technique was employed to identify households with women age of 25 and above years who were residing in the selected kebele for more than 6 months. Descriptive and multivariable logistic regression done. P-value less then 0.05 was considered as significant and presented by adjusted odds ratio (AOR) with 95% C.I. This study showed that among 838 women, only 17.8% (95%CI, 15.2%-20.5%) have undergone for cervical cancer screening. Being age of 35-39 (AOR = 5.2, 95% CI = 2.6-10.6), College and above Educational level (AOR = 3.8, 95% CI = 1.5-9.6), Ever had HIV test (AOR = 2.8, 95% CI = 1.82-4.4) and high perceived self-efficacy (AOR = 4.4, 95% CI = 1.527-12.84) were significant predictors for cervical cancer screening service uptake. The magnitude of cervical cancer screening uptake among women aged 25 years and above was lower than that of the recommended coverage of the target group by the national guideline. Age of women, educational status of women, ever had HIV test, and high perceived self-efficacy were important factors of cervical cancer screening service uptake. So it is very crucial improving cervical cancer screening uptake, through creating awareness and educating women, about the advantage of screening in early detection and management of cervical cancer screening utilization. This study was conducted to investigate the relation of HP infection to peripheral arterial stiffness and 10-year cardiovascular risk in diabetes mellitus (DM). DM subjects who underwent the C13-breath test were enrolled and divided into DMHP+ and DMHP- groups. Peripheral arterial stiffness was measured using brachial to ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV). Framingham score (FRS) and Chinese evaluation method of ischemic cardiovascular diseases (ICVD) were used to clarify 10-year cardiovascular risk. A total of 6767 subjects were included, baPWV and proportion of subjects with severe peripheral arterial stiffness were lower in DMHP- group than DMHP+ group (1556.68 ± 227.54 vs 2031.61 ± 525.48 cm/s,  < 0.01; 21.9% vs 62.7%,  < 0.01). Multivariate logistic regression analysis demonstrated that HP infection was independently associated with baPWV. Furthermore, cardiovascular risk score and the proportion of subjects with high risk were lower in DMHP- group than DMHP+ group (FRS 12.09 ± 3.77 vs 13.91 ± 3.77, 17.2% vs 38.8%; ICVD 8.56 ± 2.99 vs 10.22 ± 3.16, 43.9% vs 65.4%, with all  < 0.05). DM subjects with HP infection had more severe peripheral arterial stiffness compared those without HP infection, a higher cardiovascular risk score and 10-year cardiovascular risk stratification were observed in those subjects. DM subjects with HP infection had more severe peripheral arterial stiffness compared those without HP infection, a higher cardiovascular risk score and 10-year cardiovascular risk stratification were observed in those subjects. To investigate the alterations in the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) in the crest and trough portions of chorioretinal folds (CRFs) induced by an orbital vascular tumor. Review of multimodal imaging in two eyes of two patients with globe compression and CRFs from an orbital vascular tumor. Fundus photography demonstrated obliquely extending CRFs with alternating hyperpigmented and hypopigmented linear alterations in both eyes. Fundus autofluorescence (AF) imaging showed obliquely oriented hypoAF lines, incompletely alternating with hyperAF lines. In Case 1, the hyperAF lines had interspersed hypoAF segments and Case 2 had peripapillary mottling of AF. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/purmorphamine.html Fluorescein angiography (FA) showed alternating hyper and hypofluorescent lines in the late phase in Case 1. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) documented relative thinning of RPE at the folded crests in Case 1 and preservation of RPE in Case 2. Swept-source OCT angiography (SS-OCTA) demonstrated oblique hyporeflective lines in the outer retina and choriocapillaris layers in Case 2.
