Despite improvements in the survival rate of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) due to AMI is still a devastating condition. Thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) grade is used to classify coronary reperfusion after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), but it remains unclear whether TIMI grade after emergent PCI is associated with short-term mortality in patients with AMI who have suffered OHCA. We analyzed data collected from 2012 to 2017 and recorded in the Yamagata AMI registry, which is a multicenter surveillance conducted in all institutions in Yamagata prefecture. Among 3332 patients with AMI, 254 had suffered OHCA. There were 564 deaths during the 30 days after the onset of AMI. The survival rate was lower in patients who had suffered OHCA than in those who had not (40% vs. 87%; P  less then  0.0001). Patients with AMI who had suffered OHCA were divided into three groups based on TIMI grade (TIMI III group, n = 70; TIMI ≤ II group, n = 21; and no coronary angiography [non-CAG] group, n = 163). The survival rates in the TIMI III, TIMI ≤ II, and non-CAG groups were 87%, 38%, and 5%, respectively. Kaplan-Meier analysis demonstrated that the survival rate was highest in the TIMI III group. Multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analysis demonstrated that TIMI III was closely associated with survival after adjustment for confounding factors. Achieving TIMI grade III during emergent PCI is crucial to improve survival in patients with AMI who have suffered OHCA.Although epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) and abdominal visceral adipose tissue (VAT) can contribute to left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (LVDD), the impact of these distribution has not been fully understood. A total of 235 patients who underwent cardiac computed tomography angiography and Doppler echocardiography was included in this study. We evaluated the association of indexed EAT volume and VAT area with septal and lateral early diastolic mitral annular velocity (e'). In contrast, ln EAT volume index was not associated with septal e' in the higher VAT group (p = 0.98). EAT accumulation was significantly associated with LVDD independently of obstructive coronary artery disease and abdominal VAT. The impact of EAT on LVDD may vary depending on the amount of abdominal VAT. The aim of this study was investigate the relationship between version and torsional abnormalities of the acetabulum, femur and tibia in patients with symptomatic FAI. A systematic review was performed according to PRISMA guidelines using the EMBASE, MEDLINE, PubMed and Cochrane databases. Original research articles evaluating the described version and torsional parameters in FAI were included. The MINORS criteria were used to appraise study quality and risk of bias. Mean version and torsion values were displayed using forest plots and the estimated proportion of hips displaying abnormalities in version/torsion were calculated. A total of 1206 articles were identified from the initial search, with 43 articles, involving 8861 hips, meeting the inclusion criteria. All studies evaluating femoral or acetabular version in FAI reported 'normal' mean version values (10-25°). However, distribution analysis revealed that an estimated 31% and 51% of patients with FAI displayed abnormal central acetabular and femoral version, respectively. Up to 51% of patients presenting with symptomatic FAI show an abnormal femoral version, whilst up to 31% demonstrate abnormal acetabular version.
