Time perspective, which refers to a mechanism of automatically assigning experiences into temporal categories (as past, present, and future), is argued to be a fundamental dimension in the construction of psychological time in addition to acting as a vulnerability factor for psychological disorders. Negative urgency is another vulnerability factor for psychological disorders that are characterized by engaging in impulsive actions when one is under the influence of negative emotions. The current study aimed to examine how the interaction of different dimensions of time perspective and negative urgency are connected with anxiety and depression. Data were gathered from 404 (255 women) individuals between ages 18 and 65 through measures of time perspective, negative urgency, anxiety, and depression. The results showed that while the interaction of negative urgency with past negative time perspective was associated with depression, a similar pattern was not observed for other dimensions of time perspective. Particularly, negative urgency appeared to boost the negative impact of being past-oriented. Similarly, only the interaction of future time perspective with negative urgency was associated with anxiety, indicating that tending to focus on the events that are likely to take place in the future is associated with elevated levels of anxiety in individuals with high levels of negative urgency.Circulating in China and 158 other countries and areas, the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak has caused devastating mortality and posed a great threat to public health. However, efforts to identify effectively supportive therapeutic drugs and treatments has been hampered by our limited understanding of host immune response for this fatal disease. To characterize the transcriptional signatures of host inflammatory response to SARS-CoV-2 (HCoV-19) infection, we carried out transcriptome sequencing of the RNAs isolated from the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) specimens of COVID-19 patients. Our results reveal distinct host inflammatory cytokine profiles to SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients, and highlight the association between COVID-19 pathogenesis and excessive cytokine release such as CCL2/MCP-1, CXCL10/IP-10, CCL3/MIP-1A, and CCL4/MIP1B. Furthermore, SARS-CoV-2 induced activation of apoptosis and P53 signalling pathway in lymphocytes may be the cause of patients' lymphopenia. The transcriptome dataset of COVID-19 patients would be a valuable resource for clinical guidance on anti-inflammatory medication and understanding the molecular mechansims of host response. Objectives Congenital fibrinogen disorders (CFDs) are caused by monoallelic or biallelic mutations in FGA, FGB, and FGG genes. Quantitative CFDs include afibrinogenemia and hypofibrinogenemia, while qualitative CFDs consist of dysfibrinogenemia and hypodysfibrinogenemia. Hypofibrinogenemia and dysfibrinogenemia are autosomal dominant disorders while afibrinogenemia is a recessive one. We aimed to perform genetic diagnosis of a Chinese patient with CFD.Methods DNA was extracted from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and targeted next generation sequencing (NGS) was applied using amplicon-based panel (www.ampliseq.com) targeting all exons and splice sites of FGA, FGB, and FGG genes. Identified mutations were confirmed by Sanger sequencing. Results We have identified a novel heterozygous FGB c.560_561delTG (p.Val187GlufsTer2) frameshift deletion and a novel heterozygous FGA c.190T > G (p.Cys64Gly) missense mutations in a Chinese patient with CFD.Conclusion This is the first report of digenic variants causing CFD, and these findings may improve understanding of the genetic architecture of CFD.The take out industry is rapidly developing in China, but the environmental exposure of delivery men is neglected. "Ele.Me," an online food ordering platform, is one of the two largest catering online-to-offline platforms in China. From January 2018 to April 2018, data from 16,528 take out shops in Wuhan were crawled by using Python. The data included store name, average delivery time, delivery price, region, and store type. With the use of Baidu map's API batch reverse address resolution, the map locations of the take out shops were identified. Network service area was utilized to obtain the activity space of delivery men along the Wuhan traffic road network. Combined with the data on sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), carbon monoxide (CO), ozone (O3), PM2.5, PM10, and noise provided by the Wuhan Environmental Protection Bureau, the spatial interpolation, regional analysis, superposition analysis, and other geographic information system spatial analysis methods were used to study the air and noiseence for the physical health risk assessment of delivery men.The dysfunction of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) has been observed in coronavirus infection disease (COVID-19) patients, but whether RAS inhibitors, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) and angiotensin II type 1 receptor blockers (ARBs), are associated with clinical outcomes remains unknown. COVID-19 patients with hypertension were enrolled to evaluate the effect of RAS inhibitors. We observed that patients receiving ACEI or ARB therapy had a lower rate of severe diseases and a trend toward a lower level of IL-6 in peripheral blood. In addition, ACEI or ARB therapy increased CD3 and CD8 T cell counts in peripheral blood and decreased the peak viral load compared to other antihypertensive drugs. This evidence supports the benefit of using ACEIs or ARBs to potentially contribute to the improvement of clinical outcomes of COVID-19 patients with hypertension. Background Vascular Behçet's disease (VBD) might involve all sizes of arterial and venous vessels. Major vascular involvement caused the primary death in Behçet's syndrome (BS). We aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and factors influencing the prognosis of VBD. Patients and methods A retrospective analysis of the prospectively collected data of the Shanghai BS database from October 2012 to October 2018 was conducted. Patients who were diagnosed with BS and merged with venous thrombosis, arterial aneurysms, and arterial stenosis/occlusions were enrolled. Results There were 47 patients with vascular involvement among 836 BS patients, 38 males and 9 females. The numbers of patients with venous thrombosis, arterial aneurysm, and arterial stenosis/occlusion were 25 (53.2 %), 21 (44.7 %), and 12 (25.5 %), respectively. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/Dapagliflozin.html Nearly half of the venous thromboses were located in limbs (n = 22, 46.8 %). Arterial aneurysm was the main form of arterial lesion. Most of the patients (93.6 %) were treated with corticosteroids and immunosuppressants.
