There is substantial variation in the radiologic terms used to characterize renal masses, leading to ambiguity and inconsistency in clinical radiology reports and research studies. The purpose of this study was to develop a standardized lexicon to describe renal masses at CT and MRI. This multi-institutional, prospective, quality improvement project was exempt from IRB oversight. Thirteen radiologists belonging to the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR) disease-focused panel on renal cell carcinoma representing nine academic institutions participated in a modified Delphi process to create a lexicon of terms used to describe imaging features of renal masses at CT and MRI. In the first round, members voted on terms to be included and proposed definitions; subsequent voting rounds and a teleconference established consensus. One non-voting member developed the questionnaire and consolidated responses. Consensus was defined as ≥ 80% agreement. Of 37 proposed terms, 6 had consensus to be excluded. Consensus for inclusion was reached for 30 of 31 terms (13/14 basic imaging terms, 8/8 CT terms, 6/6 MRI terms and 3/3 miscellaneous terms). Despite substantial initial disagreement about definitions of 'renal mass,' 'necrosis,' 'fat,' and 'restricted diffusion' in the first round, consensus for all was eventually reached. Disagreement remained for the definition of 'solid mass.' A modified Delphi method produced a lexicon of preferred terms and definitions to be used in the description of renal masses at CT and MRI. In addition, the relationship between dispersal and density is seldom examined using densities measured at different spatial scales or over extensive time series. We used 51 years of trapping data to examine how dispersal by wild deer mice (Peromyscus maniculatus) was affected by changes in both local and regional population densities. Yet, their peculiarities are rarely considered in the theoretical frameworks for plants. Currently, we lack information about the magnitude and the importance of intraspecific variability in the ecophysiology of bryophytes and how these might translate to local adaptation-a prerequisite for adaptive evolution. Capitalizing on two ecologically distinct (hummock and hollow) phenotypes of Sphagnum magellanicum, we explored the magnitude and pattern of intraspecific variability in this species and asked whether the environmental-mediated changes in shoot and physiological traits are due to phenotypic plasticity or local adaptation. Size, pigmentation, and habitat type that distinguished the phenotypes in the field did not influence the trait responses under a transplant and factorial experiment. In addition, the magnitude and pattern of trait variability (e.g., branch, stem and capitulum mass) changed with the treatments, which suggest that trait responses were due largely to phenotypic plasticity. The trait responses also suggest that the ecophysiological needs for mosses to grow in clumps, where they maintain a uniform growth may have an overriding effect over the potential for a fixed adaptive response to environmental heterogeneity, which would constrain local adaptation. Reliable data on the course and treatment of pediatric COVID-19 ("corona virus disease 2019") in immunosuppressed patients with rheumatic diseases are missing. Delineation of individual strategies of the members of the Society for Pediatric Rheumatology (GKJR) in cases of COVID-19. In May 2020 all GKJR members were invited to take part in an online survey. Opinion data regarding an approach using disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARD) in cases of COVID-19 as well as the readiness to use new therapeutic agents in patients in different stages of the disease were collected. A total of 71respondents (27.3% of all contacted pediatric rheumatologists) took part in the survey. Of these 28.2% had treated patients with COVID-19. Over 95% of the respondents did not support apreventive adaptation of the anti-rheumatic treatment during the SARS-CoV‑2 pandemic. In the case of outpatients under immunosuppression with proven COVID-19 more than 50% of the respondents would refrain from administering intravenous high-dose steroids, cyclophosphamide, anti-CD20 antibodies as well as BAFF, CTLA‑4 and TNF-alpha blockades.
