Medications for glucose control and recovery of renal and thyroid functions were also applied. On the second admission, the combined therapy of topical retinoic acid, Chinese medicinal herb-Qingpeng ointment, and Zinc oxide ointment was added. Outcomes Papules and pruritus were improved significantly after the second hospitalization. Conclusion We present a case of ARPC associated with T2DM, CRF, and hypothyroidism, which has rarely been described. There is no standardized treatment for ARPC. Co-administration of two or more agents for dermatologic interventions and treatment for associated diseases may help to improve skin symptoms.Use of polyacrylate-polyalcohol copolymer (PPC) after endoscopic correction (EC) of vesico-ureteral reflux (VUR) is highly effective but is associated with a higher risk of obstructive complications (OC) compared with other implants. We undertook a STROBE compliant retrospective investigation and studied the OC risk factors to increase the practical safety of PPC.Overall, 798 patients (464 [58.1%] girls and 334 [41.9%]) boys) from 5 hospitals in whom PPC was routinely used were evaluated retrospectively. The patients were subdivided into 2 groups. Group I consisted of 754 (94.5%) children (449 [59.5%] girls and 305 [40.5%] boys) without OC. Median age was 41 months [Q1 18.0; Q3 81.0]. Group II comprised 44 (5.5%) patients (29 [65.9%] boys and 15 [34.1%] girls) experiencing OC, and their median age was 21.5 months [Q1 12.0; Q3 43.0]. Clinical and renal ultrasound examinations were carried out 1 day and 1 month after EC, and then every 6 months after EC. At the follow-up examination approximately 6 months after sonographically for occurrence of OC for at least 60 months after the intervention. Background This study will explore the effect and safety of CO2 laser (COL) for the management of patients with primary otosclerosis (PO). Methods The following electronic databases will be searched from inception to the present PUBMED, EMBASE, The Cochrane Library, Web of Science, PsycINFO, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Allied and Complementary Medicine Database, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, VIP, WANGFANG, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure. No language limitation will be applied. All relevant randomized controlled trials using COL to treat patients with PO will be included. Two researchers will identify studies, collect data and evaluate the risk of bias of each included study independently. Any different views between 2 researchers will be resolved by a third researcher via discussion. Data analysis will be carried out using RevMan 5.3 software. Results This study will evaluate the effect and safety of COL for the treatment of PO through hearing gain, tinnitus severity, incidence of intraoperative, health-related quality of life, other morbidities, and adverse events. Conclusion This study will provide evidence for the effect and safety of COL in patients with PO. Over the past 17 years, coronaviruses have triggered several outbreaks of epidemic in people, which brought great threats to global public health security. We analyzed the publications on coronavirus with bibliometrics software and qualitatively and quantitatively evaluated the knowledge base and hot topics of coronavirus research from 2003 to 2020. Methods We explored the publications on coronavirus in the Web of Science core collection (WOSCC) from 2003 to 2020. Bibliometric analysis, evaluating knowledge base, and research hotspots were performed based on CiteSpace V (Drexel University, Chaomei Chen). Results There were a total of 8433 publications of coronavirus. The research on coronavirus boomed when a novel coronavirus triggered outbreaks in people. The leading country was the United States, and the leading institution was the University of Hong Kong. The most productive researchers were Yuen KY, Drosten C, Baric RS. The keywords analysis showed that SARS-CoV, infection, acute respiratory syndrome, antibody, receptor, and spike protein were research hotspots. The research categories analysis showed that virology, microbiology, veterinary sciences, infectious diseases, and biochemistry and molecular biology were hot research categories. Conclusions Bibliometric analysis of the literature shows the research on coronavirus boomed when a novel coronavirus triggered outbreaks in people. With the end of the epidemic, the research tended to be cooling. Virus identification, pathogenesis, and coronavirus-mediated diseases attracted much attention. We must continue studying the viruses after an outbreak ended.Introduction The prevalence of diabetes continues to rise around the world. Diabetic foot is a serious complication of diabetes, and diabetic patients with diabetic foot osteomyelitis (DFO) have a fourfold increased risk of amputation, usually indicating death. Therefore, it is particularly important to seek a more effective treatment for DFO. The treatment of DFO varies from person to person, and antimicrobial therapies vary widely. A large number of clinical studies have shown that rifampicin adjuvant therapy can reduce the rate of amputation and mortality in DFO patients. However, there is no systematic summary of clinical evidence, which limits the clinical application of rifampicin. Therefore, we attempted to provide high-quality evidence for the clinical efficacy and safety of rifampin in the adjuvant treatment of DFO through this meta-analysis. Methods English literature is mainly searched in Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMBASE and Web of Science, while Chinese literature is from CNKI, CBM, VIP and Wangfa the evidence. All data analysis will be meta-analyzed by the statistical software RevMan software version 5.3. Results This study will provide a high-quality comprehensive report on the effectiveness and safety of rifampicin in the treatment of DFO, and our findings will be published in peer-reviewed journals. Conclusion This systematic review and meta-analysis will provide a comprehensive summary and careful evaluation of rifampicin as an adjuvant treatment of DFO with a view to providing multiple options for clinical treatment of the disease. https://www.selleckchem.com/CDK.html REGISTRATION NUMBER is INPLASY202040084.
