The new type of Coronavirus (2019-nCov) epidemic spread rapidly, causing more than 250 thousand deaths worldwide. The virus, which first appeared as a sign of pneumonia, was later called the SARS-COV-2 with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome by the World Health Organization. A crucial, understudied area related to the experience and regulation of emotion in this population is emotional awareness - emotional clarity (Clarity) and attention to emotion (Attention). We examined whether scores on the Hypomanic Personality Scale (HPS) were associated with deficits in emotional awareness and whether these deficits were associated with heightened intensity and instability of negative (NA) and positive affect (PA). Young adults (n=233), oversampled for high HPS scores completed self-reports and 14 days of experience sampling assessing high and low arousal NA and PA. HPS scores were associated with low Clarity and unassociated with Attention. High HPS scores were associated with greater high and low arousal NA intensity and instability only for those at low and mean levels of Attention. In contrast, there was a significant indirect association between HPS scores and intensity of high and low arousal NA and PA, as well as instability of high arousal NA, through low Clarity. Here we present a subanalysis that isolated 3 confounders to assess the impact of CYP2D6 therapeutic guidance on LOS a single Electronic Medical Record, a minimum 3-day LOS, and CYP2D6 functional stratification of patients. CYP2D6 functional stratification enabled subgrouping patients and comparing outcomes according to CYP2D6 functionality within Group G and Group S. Subfunctional patients evidenced a 2-day shorter LOS in Group G compared to Group S. Drug administration for subfunctional patients in Group S evidenced a higher percentage of CYP2D6 substrate psychotropics being prescribed as well as a greater number of prescriptions than in functional patients. We conclude that there was an effect of pharmacogenetic clinical decision support that reduced LOS in patients with CYP2D6 subfunctional status and reduced prescribing of CYP2D6 substrate dependent drugs.The polar cod (Boreogadus saida) has a circumpolar distribution and is the most abundant planktivorous fish in the Arctic. Declining sea-ice coverage impacts polar cod directly and also facilitates expansion of human activities in the region leading to increasing anthropogenic pressures on biota. Here we summarize current data and knowledge on polar cod from the Russian sector of the Barents Sea and discuss knowledge needs for the management of polar cod under changing environmental conditions and anthropogenic impacts. We review 36 Russian historical (1935 - 2020) sources of data and knowledge largely unknown to western researchers, in addition to sources already published in the English language. This effort allowed for digitalization and visualization of 69 separate datasets on polar cod ecology, including maturation, fertility, feeding intensity, diet, lipid content, length-weight relationships and seasonal variation in larval size. Our review suggests that polar cod abundances are particularly large in the eastern Barents Sea and adjacent waters. Here, we identify and discuss key knowledge gaps. The review of polar cod in the eastern Barents Sea revealed 1) major variation in the timing and area of polar cod spawning, 2) uncertainty as to what degree the polar cod is dependent on sea ice, 3) deficient knowledge of juvenile (e.g., 0-group) distributions, particularly in the north-eastern Barents Sea, 4) deficient knowledge of the species' genetic structure and spatio-temporal distributions, and 5) insufficient understanding as to whether ongoing environmental change may induce phenological changes affecting the availability of potential food items for polar cod larvae and their match in space and time. Filling these knowledge gaps would provide an important step towards the reliable knowledge base needed in order to perform well-founded management and impact assessment under environmental changes and increasing anthropogenic impacts.Triphenyltin (TPT) is a widely used pesticide that is highly toxic to a variety of organisms, including humans, and is a potential contributor to environmental pollution. The present study was conducted to evaluate the oxidative stress and immunotoxicity induced by TPT in goldfish (Carassius auratus) and the protective effects of fructooligosaccharide (FOS). Goldfish (mean weight of 13.3 ± 0.2 g) were randomly divided into six groups with three replicates (G1) the control group, (G2) the 10 ng/L TPT group, (G3) the 0.4% FOS group, (G4) the 10 ng/L TPT + 0.4% FOS group, (G5) the 0.8% FOS group, and (G6) the 10 ng/L TPT + 0.8% FOS group. The results showed that 10 ng/L TPT induced oxidative stress and significantly decreased the activities of antioxidant enzymes, such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx), in the liver and the gene expression of SOD, GPx, metallothionein (MT), and peroxiredoxin-4 (Prdx-4). The concentration of malondialdehyde (MDA) and the gene expression of cytochrome P450 (CYP) and glutathione S-transferase (GST) in the liver were significantly increased in the TPT-treated group.
