  Australian school teachers have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Teachers have had to face relentless and challenging working conditions, take on new roles and responsibilities, and embrace new ways of working. We searched reports and the available research literature on teacher mental health between September 2020 and October 2020. In our perspective piece, we summarise this literature and draw attention to the struggles of Australian school teachers and how Covid-19 has impacted their mental health.

The launches of increasing numbers of such gene therapies in Europe and the USA in the past 5 years provide valuable exemplars of how innovative reimbursement mechanisms are used by healthcare system decision makers in practice. This review details the use of such reimbursement schemes for recently launched gene therapies in key European countries and the USA, and shows that they are more widespread in Europe than in the USA. Although innovative payment schemes are increasingly used across countries, differences in healthcare system structures (e.g., single- vs multi-payer systems) and willingness to pay mean that decision makers in different countries have different incentives to manage uncertainties around long-term, real-world product value.Intercostal herniation is an abnormal protrusion of lung tissue through the boundaries of the thoracic cavity. It is commonly seen after chest trauma or thoracic surgery but rarely occurs spontaneously. We report a male patient who presented with an intercostal herniation after vigorous coughing for over 2 weeks. Treatment of post-coughing intercostal hernias is either conservative management or surgical intervention, which is dictated by the signs, symptoms, site, and presence of strangulation.The 13th Global CRO Council (GCC) closed forum for bioanalysis was held in New Orleans, LA, USA on 5 April 2019. This GCC meeting was organized to discuss the contents of the 2019 ICH M10 Bioanalytical Method Validation Draft Guideline published in February 2019 and consolidate the feedback of the GCC members. While ICH M10 will cover requirements for reference standards, one of the biggest challenges facing the CRO community is the lack of consistency and completeness of Certificates of Analysis for reference standards used in regulated bioanalysis. Similar challenges exist with critical reagents (e.g., capture and detection antibodies) used for assays supporting biologics. The recommendations provided in this publication are the minimum requirements for the content that GCC members believe should be included in Certificates of Analysis for reference standards obtained from commercial vendors, sponsors and compendial suppliers, for use in regulated bioanalytical studies. In addition, recommendations for internal standards, metabolites and critical reagents are discussed.
