However, in the Buyi Leigong Paozhi Bianlan(, Lei Gong's Guide to Drug Preparation with Addenda) and later materia medica works, the animal illustrations became distorted and almost myth-like. After a field investigation in Antarctica, we learned that historically, name Wa Na Qi probably originated from seals, such as fur seals. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/Cyclopamine.html This information matches the current medicines available on the market."Old Home land" is an obvious symbolism of traditional Chinese medicine. It has different features with modern medicine. In this new era, how to keep the TCM "new life" , how to preserve and develop it, has become an important subject. Feng Youlan is an important scholar in modern Chinese academic society. His idea on Chinese society is extensive and profound. According to Feng Youlan, we should understand the Chinese medicine from its attributes in philosophy, science and culture. And the medicine and pharmacy in the Chinese medicine need to be discussed from different point views. On the other hand, the dispute between Chinese and Western medicine itself maybe lead to a false direction. By his personal experience, Feng suggested that the traditional Chinese medicine should not lose its characters in the future time of modernization.Burden of disease (BOD) refers to the pressure on the entire social economy and health caused by disease, disability and premature death, and the resulting economic and social impacts. It includes epidemiological burden and economic burden. BOD is widely used in the analysis and research of various chronic diseases, infectious diseases and cancers. With the rapid development of economy and industrialization, the health effects of occupational diseases on workers and the resulting disease burden have become a major public health and social problem, which has caused widespread concern. However, in the field of occupational disease burden research, domestic and foreign scholars have little research on it, and lack of systematic research and framework construction. Therefore, this paper is intended to summarize the occupational disease assessment and applied research of BOD, in order to provide data support for occupational disease monitoring, health promotion and optimal allocation of health resources, and to provide theoretical basis and reference basis for the reform of occupational health work and the formulation of health policies. With the development of industry, musculoskeletal disorders have become increasingly prominent, and low back pain is one of the major problems. The United States and Germany have already included it in the category of occupational diseases. Therefore, it is extremely important to determine the occupational factors affecting low back pain and evaluate the load level of workers. In this paper, combined with the existing literature, the evaluation methods of the load of low back pain were reviewed, in order to provide reference for the development of prevention strategies of low back pain from the perspective of occupational factors.Pyroptosis is a programmed death mode dependent on Caspase-1/4/5/11, which is caused by activation of inflammasome, accompanied by cell membrane rupture, pore formation and cell content release. As a new type of cell death, it is widely involved in respiratory diseases, such as pulmonary fibrosis, acute lung injury, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. This article reviews the mechanism of pyroptosis and its role in different respiratory diseases, in order to provide new ideas for the treatment of respiratory diseases. Objective To develop a new solid sorbent tube for simultaneously capturing ethylene oxide (EO) , propylene oxide (PO) and epichlorohydrin (ECH) in air, and establish a complete set of method. Methods In June 2018, EO, PO and ECH in air were captured by the new solid sorbent tube filled with carbon aerogel adsorbent, desorbed with solution of 5% (V/V) methanol-methylene chloride, separated through capillary chromatographic column, and then analyzed by gas chromatography-flame ionization detector. Results The linear ranges of EO, PO and ECH were 0.24-960.00, 0.60-2384.00 and 0.12-472.40 mg/L respectively, and the related coefficients were between 0.99995-0.99997. The relative standard deviations (RSD) within the group were 1.66%-4.09%, 1.36%-4.43%, and 1.99%-5.65%, respectively, and the RSD between the group were 2.69%-4.95%, 2.77%-5.30%, and 3.27%-6.67%, respectively. The average desorption efficiencies were 88.25%-94.50%, 98.17%-98.60%, and 97.79%-101.04%, respectively. The samples could be stored at 4 ℃ refrigerator for at least 27 days. Conclusion The newly developed solid sorbent tube filled with carbon aerogel adsorbent and its complete set of gas chromatography method could be used for sampling and quantitative detection of EO, PO and ECH in workplace air.Arsenic trioxide poisoning can cause damage to the nervous system, heart, liver, kidney and other organs, with a lethal dose of 0.8-2.0 mg/kg. Acute poisoning is now rare. This article analyzes the clinical characteristics of 10 patients with acute poisoning caused by the absorption of arsenic trioxide through the respiratory tract, digestive tract, and skin, in order to improve clinicians' understanding of acute arsenic trioxide poisoning. This article analyzes the clinical manifestations and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data of 2 patients with hypoxic encephalopathy after simple asphyxia gas poisoning. Both patients were in a moderate coma after being poisoned, and the arterial blood lactic acid level and carbon dioxide partial pressure were higher than the normal range within 1 week after poisoning. Two patients were cured and discharged after being treated with oxygen therapy and glucocorticoids. The prognosis was good. Objective To investigate the levels and clinical significance of serum leptin and transforming growth beta 1 (TGF-β1) in silicosis patients. Methods A total of 52 patients with silicosis (already identified as occupational diseases) were enrolled in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Disease Medicine, the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from June 2018 to July 2019. These patients were regarded as silicosis group. They were divided into 25 patients with first stage silicosis, 22 patients with second stage silicosis and 5 patients with third stage silicosis. At the same time, 30 patients with no history of dust exposure in the same period of physical examination were selected as control group. Serum leptin and TGF-β1 levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in all investigators. At the same time, the comparison and correlation analysis between groups were carried out, and the diagnostic value was judged by receive operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results The serum levels of leptin and TGF-β1 in silicosis patients were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P less then 0.
