Lig Plot + program using potent analogs 6b and 6c and catalase enzyme indicated the presence of hydrophobic interactions in the catalytic site of catalase enzyme. Furthermore, a simulation study was conducted between ligand and catalase protein by DESMOND software that further strengthens these ligand and enzyme interactions. In silico ADMET study was conducted by the Swiss ADME program revealed the drug-likeliness of these analogs. The present study has identified benzothiazole analogs such as 6b, 6c and 6d have potential catalase modulating activity and is comparable with that of known drug Valproic acid, thus help in neuroprotection. This study can be further taken up for the in vivo animal model study for the possible therapy. We report the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in a 28-year-old woman who during the treatment for acute myeloid leukemia had an influenza infection complicated with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Despite ventilator management with positive end-expiratory pressure, nitrogen oxide inhalation and prone position there was severe hypoxemia. ECMO led to improvement in gas exchange and lung mechanics. This case shows that ECMO can be lifesaving in the treatment of immunocompromised patients who has hypoxemia that is refractory to conventional treatment. Objective To delineate the clinical characteristics of critically ill COVID-19 patients co-infected with influenza. Methods In this study, we included adult patients with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 form Tongji Hospital (Wuhan, China), with or without influenza, and compared their clinical characteristics. Results Among 93 patients, 44 died and 49 were discharged. Forty-four (47.3%) were infected with influenza virus A and 2 (2.2%) with influenza virus B. Twenty-two (50.0%) of the non-survivors and 24 (49.0%) of t
