Computed tomography (CT)-derived fractional flow reserve (FFR ) enables the non-invasive functional assessment of coronary artery stenosis. We evaluated the feasibility and potential clinical role of FFR in patients presenting to the emergency department with acute chest pain who underwent chest-pain CT (CPCT). For this retrospective IRB-approved study, we included 56 patients (median age 62 years, 14 females) with acute chest pain who underwent CPCT and who had at least a mild (≥25% diameter) coronary artery stenosis. CPCT was evaluated for the presence of acute plaque rupture and vulnerable plaque features. FFR measurements were performed using a machine learning-based software. We assessed the agreement between the results from FFR and patient outcome (including results from invasive catheter angiography and from any non-invasive cardiac imaging test, final clinical diagnosis and revascularization) for a follow-up of 3 months. FFR was technically feasible in 38/56 patients (68%). Eleven of tn who undergo CPCT provided that image quality is sufficient. FFRCT has the potential to improve patient triage by reducing further downstream testing but appears of limited value in patients with CT signs of acute plaque rupture. Propofol (PPF) overdose is a rare but lethal condition, which may lead to severe cardiac failure. In this study, we established an PPF-induced cardiac cytotoxicity model, and investigate the functional role of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) small nucleolar RNA host gene 6 (SNHG6). Human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (HiPSC-CMs) were exposed to PPF . PPF-induced cytotoxic effects were measured. PPF-induced SNHG6 expression change in HiPSC-CMs were monitored by qRT-PCR. SNHG6 was downregulated in HiPSC-CMs to examine its role in PPF-induced cardiac cytotoxicity. The expression of competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) candidate of SNHG6, human microRNA-186-5p (hsa-miR-186-5p) was also investigated in PPF-exposed HiPSC-CMs. Functions of hsa-miR-186-5p were further investigated in PPF-exposed and SNHG6-downregulated HiPSC-CMs. PPF induced significant cytotoxicity, as well as SNHG6 upregulation in HiPSC-CMs. SNHG6 downregulation had rescuing effects on PPF-induced cardiac cytotoxicity. Dual-luciferase activity assay confirmed that hsa-miR-186-5p was the ceRNA candidate of SNHG6. QRT-PCR showed hsa-miR-186-5p expression was reversely correlated with SNHG6 in PPF-exposed HiPSC-CMs. Suppressing hsa-miR-186-5p reduced the rescuing effects of SNHG6-downregulation on PPF-induced cardiac cytotoxicity. SNHG6/hsa-miR-186-5p can modulate PPF-induced cardiac cytotoxicity in HiPSC-CMs, and thus may be a future drug target to prevent PPF infusion syndrome. To investigate anti myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MIRI) action of total flavones of Fructus Chorspondiatis (TFFC) in rats by N-ammonia micro PET/CT imaging, etc. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 6 groups. Micro PET/CT imaging was performed before and after modeling to calculate the volume (VOI) and SUV of myocardial ischemic area. The oxidative stress index [(superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA)] and the marker enzymes [creatine kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)] of myocardial injury were detected. The pathological changes of myocardial were observed via HE staining. A MIRI model of rat cardiomyocytes in vitro was established, the damage and apoptosis of myocardial cells in each group were observed, and the apoptosis rate of cardiomyocytes was detected. The imaging viscosities of the imaging agents were observed at 24 and 48 h in each group. The VOI of 24 h imaging was (6.33±2.02), (6.01±1.56) and (3.32±0.86) mm , respectively. The VOI of 48 h imagine protective effect of traditional Mongolian medicine TFFC on MIRI. The Anti-MIRI of TFFC can scavenge free radicals, reduce oxidative stress damage, inhibit apoptosis, affect the activity of related enzymes. The PET/CT imaging method can detect non-invasive, in vivo and dynamic MIRI, and can accurately evaluate the protective effect of traditional Mongolian medicine TFFC on MIRI. The Anti-MIRI of TFFC can scavenge free radicals, reduce oxidative stress damage, inhibit apoptosis, affect the activity of related enzymes. Ascending aortic aneurysm is a disease requiring surgical intervention. However, the timing of operation is still controversial. The purpose of this study is to compare the ascending aortic diameter and postoperative outcomes in hospital between patients with simple ascending aortic dissection and patients with simple ascending aortic dilation in China, and to investigate the accuracy of the timing of operation determined by ascending aortic diameter alone. We reviewed the data from 2,520 hospitalized patients of aortic aneurysm and aortic dissection who underwent surgical treatment from January 2010 to June 2017 in our hospital. A total of 139 simple ascending aortic dissection and simple ascending aortic aneurysm hospitalized patients excluding Marfan syndrome and heart valve diseases etc. (56 in the aortic dilatation group and 83 in the aortic dissection group) were enrolled. The t-test and univariable analysis were used to compare the differences between two groups. For the aortic diameter, the grouneurysm. It is far from enough to predict aortic dissection with aortic diameter alone. More indicators are needed to do this. Previous study revealed that high glucose (HG) induced endothelial cell (EC) damage via endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT). Recent studies suggested the role of Ephrin B2 in mediate ECs damage. However, the underlying mechanism remains unclear. The aim of the present study was to investigate whether Ephrin B2 mediates HG-induced EndMT in human aortic ECs (HAECs) and to determine the possible downstream signaling effector. Primary HAECs were exposed to normal glucose (NG, 5.5 mM), HG (30 mM) and HG+Ephrin B2 small interfering RNA (siRNA), respectively. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/mdivi-1.html The pathological changes were investigated by light microscope and confocal microscopy. To study the effects of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) activation on Ephrin B2 in HAECs, cells were incubated with FAK siRNA in HG group. The expression of EndMT-related markers (CD31 and FSP1), Ephrin B2 and FAK were detected by qRT-PCR and western blot. The results showed that HG significantly inhibited the expression of CD31 and increased FSP1 compared with NG group.
