The identification of GBL in an e-cigarette product purportedly compliant with federal regulation continues to demonstrate public health and public safety concerns. Cranioplasty is a ubiquitous neurosurgical procedure consisting of reconstruction of a pre-existing calvarial defect. Many materials are available, including polymethylmethacrylate in hand-moulded (hPMMA) and prefabricated (pPMMA) form, hydroxyapatite (HA), polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and titanium (Ti). To perform a network meta-analysis (NMA) to assess the relationship between materials and complications of cranioplasty. PubMed/MEDLINE, Google Scholar, EMBASE, Scopus, and The Cochrane Library were searched from January 1, 1990 to February 14, 2021. Studies detailing rates of any of infections, implant exposure, or revision surgery were included. A frequentist NMA was performed for each complication. Risk ratios (RRs) with 95% CIs were calculated for each material pair. A total of 3620 abstracts were screened and 31 full papers were included. Surgical revision was reported in 18 studies and occurred in 316/2032 cases (14%; 95% CI 11-17). PEEK had the lowest risk of re-operation with a rate of 8/157 (5%; 95% CI 0-11) in 5 studies, superior to autografts (RR 0.20; 95% CI 0.07-0.57), hPMMA (RR 0.20; 95% CI 0.07-0.60), Ti (RR 0.39; 95% CI 0.17-0.92), and pPMMA (RR 0.14; 95% CI 0.04-0.51). Revision rate was 131/684 (19%; 95% CI 13-25; 10 studies) in autografts, 61/317 (18%; 95%CI 9-28; 7 studies) in hPMMA, 84/599 (13%; 95% CI 7-19; 11 studies) in Ti, 7/59 (9%; 95% CI 1-23; 3 studies) in pPMMA, and 25/216 (12%; 95% CI 4-24; 4 studies) in HA. Infection occurred in 463/4667 (8%; 95% CI 6-11) and implant exposure in 120/1651 (6%; 95% CI 4-9). Nonliteral language comprehension disorders in individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) are frequently reported in the literature but rarely assessed in clinical settings. A major reason is the lack of tools available to clinicians. Therefore, the present study aimed to further promote the pragmatic assessment routine by creating a new nonliteral language comprehension tool for ABI individuals the IRRI test. This tool is intended to be standardized and capable of directing clinicians to cognitive deficits underlying a poor understanding of nonliteral language-context processing, executive functions, and theory of mind. Three studies were conducted. The first study aimed at constructing the two IRRI test tasks the irony and indirect requests comprehension tasks. These tasks integrate the cognitive processes within them. The second study aimed at analyzing the tasks' psychometric qualities in a sample of 33 ABI participants and 33 healthy participants (HC). Preliminary normative data obtained from 102 healthy French-speaking subjects were collected in the third study. Significant differences in the IRRI test's performances were observed between the ABI and HC individuals. The indirect requests task demonstrated robust convergent validity and good sensibility to discriminate altered participants among ABI participants. Both IRRI test's tasks also showed excellent test-retest and inter-rater reliability. The preliminary norms were stratified according to the conditions of interest in relation to the cognitive mechanisms underlying the understanding of nonliteral language. We described 3 cases of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in healthy male patients who recovered from COVID-19 with no prior cardiovascular risk factors. Intravascular ultrasound of culprit vessels revealed predominantly fibrotic plaque with minimal necrotic core. Clot waveform analysis showed parameters of hypercoagulability. They were treated with dual antiplatelet therapy, angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitor, beta blocker and statin. These cases highlight the strong thrombogenic nature of COVID-19 that persisted among patients who recovered from infection. The aim of this rapid review was to evaluate the level of adherence to evidence-based medical therapy (EBMT) recommended by PAD treatment guidelines in the real-world setting. We searched PubMed and Embase using keywords, MeSH and Emtree terms related to the population, exposure and outcomes from their inception to 22 September 2020. We included randomised controlled trials, non-randomised studies, and observational studies reporting adherence to at least 1 of these 4 drug classes (1) statins, (2) antiplatelets, (3) antihypertensives and (4) antidiabetic drugs. Non-English articles, abstracts, dissertations, animal studies and case reports or series were excluded. A narrative summary of the results was performed. A total of 42 articles were included in the review.
