To investigate the confidence level of final year dental students in Riyadh. Cross-sectional study was conducted at four dental colleges in Riyadh (N=312, 220 and 70,5% responded). Oneway ANOVA and post hoc Tukey-Kramer was used. The greatest self-reported confidence scores were for pit fissure sealent (4.6(0.7)). Whereas, students reported least confidence in conducting surgical extractions (2.7 (1.2)). Females were found more confident in conducting preventive resin restorations, oral hygiene instructions, and rubber dam placement as compared to male who were more confident in surgical extraction, copy dentures, veneer preparation and managing orthodontic emergencies. All students were confident in performing essential dental procedures however higher confidence was observed in performing simple procedures compared to more complex ones. The present study is mainly focused on the control of wilt disease of tomato by our isolate VSMKU3054 and DAPG. The antimicrobial partially purified compound was identified as DAPG by UV, FT-IR and GC-MS analysis. The percentage of live cells of R. solanacearum when supplemented with DAPG at 30 µg/ml, significantly controlled the living nature of R. solanacearum up to 68% compared to tetracycline and universal control observed under high content screening analysis. The selected isolate P. fluorescens VSMKU3054 and DAPG significantly controlled wilt disease of tomato up to 59.5% and 42.12% on 3rd and 7th days compared to positive and negative control by detached leaf assay. Further, in silico analysis revealed that high interaction of DAPG encoding protease with lectin which is associated with R. solanacearum. Based on our findings, we confirmed that P. fluorescens VSMKU3054 and DAPG could be used a potential bio inoculants for the management of bacterial wilt disease of tomato.To investigate the correlation between serum renin-angiotensin system (RAS) level and Symptoms of anxiety and depression in Parkinson disease patients (PD). A number of 90 PD patients (47 males and 43 females) were collected on an empty stomach 12 h after stopping taking anti-PD medicines. ELISA has been found in Serum RAS ((Ang) I, Ang II, Ang (1-7), Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), ACE2). Depression scale (HAMD) and Anxiety scale (HAMA) in Hamilton are used for the assessment of signs of depression and anxiety. The 90 patients were diagnosed with moderate depression (HAMD score 8 ~ 19); in 32 of those (35.56 percent), and 12 (13.33%) were diagnosed as moderate and severe depression (HAMD score ≥ 20). 20 cases (22.22%) were diagnosed as possible anxiety disorder (HAMA score 7 ~ 13) and 16 cases (17.78%) as definite anxiety disorder (HAMA score ≥ 14). Substance P (SubP) is a neuropeptide with established positive modulatory functions in fracture healing and associated neuronal milieu. In this study, we performed local delivery of recombinant adenovirus of Dickkopf-1 (DKK1) into the fracture site to understand the antagonizing the role of DKK1 against substance P. Rats were segregated into 4 groups (i) Fractured non-diabetic rats; (ii) Fractured T1D rats; T1D was provoked by using STZ 50 mg/kg for 5 consecutive days; (iii) Fractured T1D + SubP (50 mg/ml/Kg; i.p.; 30 min prior to fracture procedure); (iv) Fractured T1D + SubP + Ad-DKK1. Bone radiographs were taken using a Faxitron X-ray machine and the residual gap size was measured using an electric caliper. Western blotting was also performed to determine the protein expression levels of osteogenic markers (RUNX2, OSTX and OSTC) bone resorption markers (OPG, RANKL and RANK) and also Wnt-signalling markers (β-catenin, LRP5 and GSK-3β). We observed that SubP promoted osteogenesis (as indicated by RUNX2, OSTX and OSTC upregulation) and mitigated the bone resorption (as indicated by optimized OPG/RANKL/RANK axis) via activated Wnt signalling (manifested by upmodulated β-catenin and LRP5, with downmodulated GSK-3β levels. Molecular dynamics simulation was used to study the protein dynamics at atomic level. Molecular docking was used to study the effect of mutation on ATP/ADP transition in the kinase domain. This ATPase of 806 amino acids has four domains N-terminal domain, C-terminal domain and two ATPase domains D1 and D2 and each of these domains have a distinct role in its functioning. The mutations in VCP protein are distributed among regions known as hotspots, one such hotspot is codon 155. Three missense mutations reported in this hotspot are R155C, R155H and R155P. Potentiality of the deleteriousness calculated using server based prediction models reveal R155C mutation to be the most deleterious.
