 The body develop of Himalayan felines is described as "cobby." This is a term used for animals that have a stout or stocky body. Their ears are little and rounded and they have a well-developed chin. The coats of Himalayan cats have a main color of either white or beige. They are recognized calico tabby by their unique point colors such as blue, chocolate, cream, lilac, red, seal, mixes with tortie (example are lilac-cream, chocolate tortie and blue-cream), and tabby marked points or lynx (such as blue lynx, cream lynx, lilac lynx, tortie lynx and more).
 
 This unique color combination offers it the look of shining silver. To contribute to the originality the Chinchilla silver has pure white ear tufts, chest, chin and stomach. The rims of its eyes, nose and lips are described in black. This unique feline will be looking at you with a set of blue green eyes.

Others believed that the Abys might be descendants from the nests of cats made it through the Roman evacuation of Britain. While still others thought it came from the coast of the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia.
