The Ziziphus species are naturally tolerant to a range of abiotic stresses. Therefore, it is expected that they are an enriched source of genes conferring stress tolerance. Heat shock proteins (Hsps) play a significant role in plants in imparting tolerance against abiotic stress conditions. To get an insight into potential Hsp function in Ziziphus, we performed a genome-wide analysis and expression study of Hsp70 and Hsp100 gene families in Ziziphus jujuba. We identified 21 and 6 genes of the ZjHsp70 and ZjHsp100 families, respectively. Physiochemical properties, chromosomal location, gene structure, motifs, and protein domain organization were analysed for structural and functional characterization. We identified the contribution of tandem and segmental gene duplications in expansions of ZjHsp70s and ZjHsp100s in Z. jujuba. Promoter analysis suggested that ZjHsp70s and ZjHsp100s perform diverse functions related to abiotic stress. Furthermore, expression analyses revealed that most of the Z. jujuba Hsp genes are differentially expressed in response to heat, drought, and salinity stress. Our analyses suggested ZjHsp70-3, ZjHsp70-5, ZjHsp70-6, ZjHsp70-16, ZjHsp70-17, ZjHsp70-20, ZjHsp100-1, ZjHsp100-2, and ZjHsp100-3 are potential candidates for further functional analysis and with regard to breeding new more resilient strains. This research assesses the effects of land use on phytoplankton communities across water quality gradients. By employing abiotic and biotic datasets of 149 catchments in Lake Chaohu basin, China, and a structural equation model (SEM), the direct and indirect effects of land use and water quality on phytoplankton dynamic were analyzed. Both land use and water quality had statistically significant direct effects on phytoplankton community attribute and diversity, although these effects differed among these indices. For instance, farmland was found to positively affect the abundance and diversity indices, while total nitrogen (TN) had significant positive effects on species richness and abundance. Importantly, the average indirect effects strengthened the effects of land use (e.g., built-up land and woodland) up to 82.4% mainly through nutrients, while the average indirect effects weakened the effects of land use (e.g., farmland) by as much as 49.9% mainly due to nutrients, thus indicating the prevailing role of the effects of land use on phytoplankton based on nutrient concentrations. The results suggest that nutrients can regulate the effect of land use on phytoplankton community attribute and diversity indices. This study highlights the advantages of using an SEM because the potential linkages for phytoplankton diversities are more likely to be identified with this method than with a classical linear regression model. The main objective of this systematic review was to determine the existing evidence on the frequency, treatment, and outcome of RISHN. Using PRISMA guidelines we conducted a systematic review of the literature published from 2000 to 2020. Our review includes data of 560 patients from 64 articles. The total frequency of RISHNs among the reviewed series was 0.15%. The most frequent location of the primary tumor treated by RT was the nasopharynx. The mean RT dose used was 62Gy, mean latency interval between irradiation and occurrence of RISHN was 11.1years, and the most common RISHN location was the sinonasal region. Osteosarcoma was the principal histology, followed by fibrosarcoma. Surgery was the most frequently applied treatment modality. Of all patients with RISHN, 40.7% died of this disease after a mean interval of 13.9months.
