We provide an implementation of the proposed method as open source code, as well as web service. Relatives of patients receiving palliative care are at risk for psychological and physical distress, and their perception of quality of care can influence patients' quality of life. The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the QUALI-PALLI-FAM questionnaire (QUAlity of PALLIative car from FAMilies' perspective) to measure families' perception of and satisfaction with palliative care. An exploratory factor analysis was conducted, and we evaluated the questionnaire's internal consistency using Cronbach's alpha, its stability across various strata, and the correlation between the QUALI-PALLI-FAM (factors, total score, and global satisfaction) and the total score of the FAMCARE (FAMily satisfaction with CARE) questionnaire. This multicentric prospective cross-sectional survey was conducted in seven French hospitals, namely, three palliative care units and four standard medical units with a mobile palliative care team. The questionnaire was completed by 170 relatives of patients (more than 90% rious settings and countries. Workplace interventions are needed to prevent burnout and support the well-being of the palliative care workforce. We conducted a survey of all palliative care clinical staff to evaluate the usefulness and feasibility of checklist items and the checklist itself. We collected demographics, perceptions of professional satisfaction and burnout, and qualitative feedback aimed at improving the checklist. We implemented a 13-item self-care checklist, included in a handbook on palliative care carried in the laboratory coat of all clinical personnel, to remind them to care of their own well-being. Of 39 personnel contacted, 32 (82%) responded. Most (20; 62%) found the checklist useful. Exercise was the most highly ranked item, whereas watching visual arts was the lowest ranked item. To compare three anisotropic acquisition schemes and three compressed sensing (CS) approaches for accelerated tissue sodium concentration (TSC) quantification using Na MRI at 7T. Three anisotropic 3D-radial acquisition sequences were evaluated using simulations, phantom- and in vivo TSC measurements An anisotropic density-adapted 3D-radial sequence (3DPR-C), a 3D acquisition-weighted density-adapted stack-of-stars sampling scheme (SOS) and a SOS approach with golden-ratio rotation (SOS-GR). Eight healthy volunteers were examined at a 7Tesla MRI system. TSC measurements of the calf were conducted with a nominal spatial resolution of Δx=(3.0×3.0×15.0) mm and a field of view of (156.0×156.0×240.0) mm for multiple undersampling factors (USF). Three CS reconstructions were evaluated Total variation CS (TV-CS), 3D dictionary-learning compressed sensing (3D-DLCS) and TV-CS with a block matching prior (TV-BL-CS). Results of the simulations and measurements were compared to a simulated ground truth (GT) or aIn future, the lower TA could improve clinical applicability of TSC measurements. The TA for TSC measurements could be reduced to less than 2 min by using adapted sequences such as SOS-GR and CS reconstruction approaches such as 3D-DLCS or TV-BL-CS, while the quantitative accuracy stays comparable to a fully sampled NUFFT reconstruction (approx. 8 min TA). Options for increasing MPA in community dwelling adults with ADRD and their caregivers are limited. A home-based physical activity intervention delivered remotely via video conferencing to groups of adults with ADRD and their caregivers (RGV), represents a potentially effective approach for increasing MPA in this group. Previous approaches (fluorescent dyes, bioluminescent aequorin, genetically encoded cameleon probes) with imaging rapid subcellular changes in cytosolic free calcium ([Ca2+]c) in fungal cells have produced inconsistent results. Recent data obtained with new fluorescent, genetically encoded GCaMP probes, that are very bright, have resolved this problem. Here, exposing conidia or conidial germlings to high external Ca2+, as an example of an external stressor, induced very dramatic, rapid and dynamic [Ca2+]c changes with localized [Ca2+]c transients and waves. Considerable heterogeneity in the timing of Ca2+ responses of different spores/germlings within the cell population was observed.
