Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder characterized by the recurrence of abdominal pain and changes in bowel habits. Owing to the limitations of conventional treatments, patients with IBS are often dissatisfied with the effect of treatment and have a poor quality of life. Herbal medicines (HMs) are frequently used for the treatment of IBS. This protocol was designed through an overview of systematic reviews (SRs), to investigate the safety and efficacy of HMs for treating IBS. SRs published up to May 2021 will be searched from the following 6 electronic databases Medline (via PubMed), EMBASE, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Allied and Complementary Medicine Database, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure database. SRs and/or meta-analyses on the use of HMs for IBS will be included in this overview. The effects of a placebo, no treatment, usual care, or conventional treatment will be compared with those of HMs. Two investigators will independently extract the data and assess the methodological and evidence quality for each main finding. The total clinical effectiveness rate will be measured as the primary outcome. This overview is expected to provide data on the use of HMs for the treatment of IBS based on qualitative and quantitative syntheses of the included SR data. This overview will evaluate and propose the efficacy and safety of HMs for the treatment of IBS. DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/NT6WZ (https//osf.io/nt6wz). DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/NT6WZ (https//osf.io/nt6wz). Work-life balance (WLB) is an essential precursor of workers' mental health. The theory of rational emotive behaviour therapy proposes that an imbalance in work and family life may result from people's dysfunctional perceptions of their work and other aspects of their personal life. Also, the constructive philosophies of rational emotive behavior therapy are said to be congruent with most religious belief systems of Christian clients. Therefore, our research examined the efficacy of Christian religious rational emotive behaviour therapy (CRREBT) on WLB among administrative officers in Catholic primary schools. This is a group randomized trial involving 162 administrative officers from Catholic primary schools in Southeast Nigeria. The treatment process involved an 8-session CRREBT programme. The scores for WLB of the administrative officers enrolled in the CRREBT programme were significantly improved compared to those in the control group at the end of the study. At the follow-up phase, the CRREBT programme proved to be effective over a 3-month period. CRREBT is an effective therapeutic strategy for managing WLB among Catholic school administrative officers. Several macular pathologies are associated with choroidal vascular supply and thus require choroidal thickness evaluation. However, there is no standard subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT) measurement method. This study investigated a new method of SFCT measurement, using optical coherence tomography. This is a single-center observational study. Eighty-two senior medical students participated as observers and independently measured the SFCT on 5 standard optical coherence tomography images of healthy adults in a tertiary care setting. They used 3 different methods the observer's own method, the conventional method, perpendicular to the retinal pigment epithelium, and the new method, along a virtual line connecting the umbo with the most elevated point of the ellipsoid. Additionally, the SFCT angle-the angle between the measurement line and the vertical line of the image-was measured and compared between methods. The intraclass correlation coefficient was used to determine interpersonal variability. The intratration Not applicable. Both coil embolization (CE) and flow-diverting device (FDD) placement are widely used for treatment of intracranial aneurysms (IAs). The aim of this meta-analysis is to compare the relative clinical safety and efficacy of FDD and CE for the treatment of unruptured IAs. The PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases were searched for relevant studies from the date of inception through April 2020. The primary endpoint for this meta-analysis was the 6-month rate of complete occlusion, while secondary endpoints included rates of retreatment, complications, and parental arterial patency. This meta-analysis includes 8 studies, which included 839 total patients that underwent FDD and 2734 that underwent CE. FDD group exhibited a significantly higher pooled 6-month complete occlusion rate (P = .02). The subgroup analysis demonstrated that FDD treatment was associated with significantly higher pooled 6-month complete occlusion rates in patients with large or giant IAs (P < .00001), whereas no differences in 6-month complete occlusion rates were observed between the FDD and CE groups of patients with non-large/giant IAs (P = .83). The pooled retreatment (P = .16) and complication (P = .15) rates were comparable between 2 groups. The CE group exhibited significantly higher pooled parent artery patency rate (P = .01). The funnel plots did not reveal any evidence of publication bias. FDDs can be used to effectively and safely treat large and giant IAs, achieving higher rates of complete occlusion than CE treatment. For non-large/giant IAs, we observed comparable efficacy between FDD and CE treatments. To evaluate the efficacy of fusion proteins biologics (Etanercept (ETN), Anakinra (ANA), and Abatacept) combinations in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) using network meta-analysis to rank those according to their performance medicines. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/curcumin-analog-compound-c1.html The performance of these processes is ranked according to the results of the analysis and an explanatory study of the possible results is carried out. Multiple databases including PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library were used to identify applicable articles and collect relevant data to analyze using STATA (14.0) software. The literature included in this study was divided into a combination of a placebo, methotrexate (MTX), and an observation group (1 of the 3 drugs). The last search date was December 12, 2019. A total of 19 eligible randomized controlled trials of fusion proteins biologics were identified, a total of 1109 papers were included, and the results showed that the ETN + MTX had the highest probability of being the most clinically efficacious intervention, with a surface under the cumulative ranking curve of 91.
