Some are also prone patella luxation that can cause occasional stumbling and a bowlegged look on the hind legs. Treatment options include antiinflammatory drugs, dietary restrictions, and surgical procedures. Another common issue is atopy, which can cause itching and irritation of the skin. It is a common condition in small breeds and is treated with medication or an elimination diet.
