In recent years, extreme weather events such as high temperature (HT) are becoming more frequent. HT has become one of the main environmental factors affecting crop growth and development. MAPK-mediated HT responses have attracted more and more attention. We herein focus on the current state of knowledge of MAPK in the plant under HT stress and summarize the mechanisms of MAPK in HT response from Ca2+ signal, reactive oxygen species (ROS) signal, heat shock transcription factor and heat shock protein, antioxidant system, and the direct downstream targets of MAPK. This review encapsulates the known plant MAPK cascade and provides prospects for ongoing research on HT response. Radiation therapy is commonly utilized in the majority of solid cancers and many hematologic malignancies and other disorders. While it has an undeniably major role in improving cancer survival, radiation therapy has long been recognized to have various negative effects, ranging from mild to severe. In this manuscript, we review several intracranial manifestations of therapeutic radiation, with particular attention to those that may be encountered by radiologists. We conducted an extensive literature review of known complications of intracranial radiation therapy. Based on this review, we selected complications that had salient, recognizable imaging findings. We searched our imaging database for illustrative examples of these complications, focusing only on patients who had a history of intracranial radiation therapy. We then selected cases that best exemplified expected imaging findings in these entities. Based on our initial literature search and imaging database review, we selected cases of radiationese entities.The study design of this paper is systematic review. The purpose of this review is to evaluate the existing radiological grading systems that are used to assess cervical foraminal stenosis. The importance of imaging the cervical spine using CT or MRI in evaluating cervical foraminal stenosis is widely accepted; however, there is no consensus for standardized methodology to assess the compression of the cervical nerve roots. A systematic search of Ovid Medline databases, Embase 1947 to present, Cinahl, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, ISRCTN and WHO international clinical trials was performed for reports of cervical foraminal stenosis published before 01 February 2020. In collaboration with the University of Leeds, a search strategy was developed. A total of 6952 articles were identified with 59 included. Most of the reports involved multiple imaging modalities with standard axial and sagittal imaging used most. The grading themes that came from this systematic review show that the most mature for cervical foraminal stenosis is described by (Kim et al. Korean J Radiol 161294, 2015) and (Park et al. Br J Radiol 8620120515, 2013). Imaging of the cervical nerve root canals is mostly performed using MRI and is reported using subjective terminology. The Park, Kim and Modified Kim systems for classifying the degree of stenosis of the nerve root canal have been described. Clinical application of these scoring systems is limited by their reliance on nonstandard imaging (Park), limited validation against clinical symptoms and surgical outcome data. Oblique fine cut images derived from three dimensional MRI datasets may yield more consistency, better clinical correlation, enhanced surgical decision-making and outcomes. To assess early microstructural changes of meningiomas treated with proton therapy through quantitative analysis of intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) parameters. Seventeen subjects with meningiomas that were eligible for proton therapy treatment were retrospectively enrolled. Each subject underwent a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) including DWI sequences and IVIM assessments at baseline, immediately before the 1st (t0), 10th (t10), 20th (t20), and 30th (t30) treatment fraction and at follow-up. Manual tumor contours were drawn on T2-weighted images by two expert neuroradiologists and then rigidly registered to DWI images. Median values of the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), true diffusion (D), pseudo-diffusion (D*), and perfusion fraction (f) were extracted at all timepoints. Statistical analysis was performed using the pairwise Wilcoxon test. Statistically significant differences from baseline to follow-up were found for ADC, D, and D* values, with a progressive increase in ADC and D in conjunction with a progressive decrease in D*. MRI during treatment showed statistically significant differences in D values between t0 and t20 (p= 0.03) and t0 and t30 (p= 0.02), and for ADC values between t0 and t20 (p= 0.04), t10 and t20 (p = 0.02), and t10 and t30 (p= 0.035). Subjects that showed a volume reduction greater than 15% of the baseline tumor size at follow-up showed early D changes, whereas ADC changes were not statistically significant. IVIM appears to be a useful tool for detecting early microstructural changes within meningiomas treated with proton therapy and may potentially be able to predict tumor response. Our aim was to determine the long-term safety and efficacy of the Flow Re-Direction Endoluminal Device (FRED) in this multicenter study with prospective design. This study included 136 consecutive patients with 155 aneurysms treated between March 2013 and June 2016 in 10 centers. Twenty-two (16.2%) patients presented with rupture of the index aneurysm. Large/giant aneurysms comprised 1/3 of the cohort. Adjuvant coil use during the treatment was 15.5%. The effectiveness measure in the study was the percentage of aneurysms with stable occlusion at follow-up. Vascular imaging follow-up was performed at least once in 131/136 (96.3%) patients with 148/155 (95.5%) aneurysms up to 75months (mean 37.3months; median 36months according to latest follow-up), and 102/155(65.8%) aneurysms in 90/136 (66.2%) patients had ≥ 24-month control. According to the latest controls, the overall stable occlusion rate was 91.9% (95% CI, 87.5 to 96.3%). Three out of 148 aneurysms with follow-up were retreated (2%, 95% CI 0.0 to 4.
