Results from this study showed that CVC resulted in a 20% decrease in AMEn 7-day post-challenge, while the interaction between exogenous enzyme supplementation and CVC resulted in an improvement in nitrogen utilization (~6%) in CVC birds fed the corn-SBM-based diet 7-days post challenge.The use of additive manufacturing (AM) has moved well beyond prototyping and has been established as a highly versatile manufacturing method with demonstrated potential to completely transform traditional manufacturing in the future. In this paper, a comprehensive review and critical analyses of the recent advances and achievements in the field of different AM processes for polymers, their composites and nanocomposites, elastomers and multi materials, shape memory polymers and thermo-responsive materials are presented. Moreover, their applications in different fields such as bio-medical, electronics, textiles, and aerospace industries are also discussed. We conclude the article with an account of further research needs and future perspectives of AM process with polymeric materials.I feel part of a massive effort to understand what is wrong with motor systems in the brain relating to Parkinson's disease. Tissue engineering scaffolds with a tunable Poisson's ratio may be better able to simulate the mechanical behavior of natural tissues. A mixture of cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) and polyethylene glycol diacrylate (PEGDA) was used as the raw material to prepare CNF/PEGDA aerogels with a multiscale pore structure through a combination of stereolithography (SLA) and freeze-drying. The aerogels were fabricated with a regular macropore network structure and a random and homogeneous distribution of micropores. The macropore structure of the scaffolds could be customized through SLA, which resulted in scaffolds that exhibited one of three different mechanical behaviors positive Poisson's ratio (PPR), negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) or zero Poisson's ratio (ZPR). Then, the hydrogel scaffolds were transformed into aerogel scaffolds through the freeze-drying method, which endowed the scaffolds with homogeneously distributed micropores. The material ratio and exposure were adjusted to obtain scaffolds with a clear pore structure. Then, the CNF/PEGDA scaffolds with different Poisson's ratios were subjected to mechanical tests, and their chondrogenic induction characteristics were determined. The NPR scaffold not only provided a good environment for cell growth but also affected mouse bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (mBMSC) proliferation and chondrogenic induction. Glutacetine® improved grain yield via a significant increase in the grain number per spike and per m2, which also enhanced the thousand grain weight, especially with urea. The total N in grains and the NUE tended to increase in response to Glutacetine®, irrespective of the site or the form of N fertilizer. Depending on the site, spraying Glutacetine® can also induce changes in the grain ionome (analyzed by X-ray fluorescence), with a reduction in P content observed (site 2 under urea nutrition) or an increase in Mn content (site 3 under UAN nutrition). These results provide a roadmap for utilizing Glutacetine® biostimulant to enhance wheat production and flour quality in a temperate climate.The real burden of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in non-hospitalized patients is largely unknown. This is a 3-year prospective, observational study of ambulatory CAP in adults, conducted in 24 Spanish primary care centers between 2016-2019. Sociodemographic and clinical variables of patients with radiographically confirmed CAP were collected. Pneumococcal etiology was assessed using the Binax Now® test. Patients were followed up for 10 ± 3 days. A total of 456 CAP patients were included in the study. Mean age was 56.6 (±17.5) years, 53.5% were female, and 53.9% had ≥1 comorbidity. Average incidence of CAP was 1.2-3.5 cases per 1000 persons per year. Eighteen patients (3.9%) were classified as pneumococcal CAP. Cough was present in 88.1% of patients at diagnosis and fever in 70.8%. Increased pulmonary density (63.3%) and alveolar infiltrates with air bronchogram (16.6%) were the most common radiographic findings. After 14.6 ± 6.0 days (95% CI = 13.9-15.3), 65.4% of patients had recovered. Hospitalization rate was 2.8%. The most frequently prescribed antibiotics were quinolones (58.7%) and β-lactams (31.1%). In conclusion, one-third of CAP patients did not fully recover after two weeks of empiric antibiotic therapy and 2.8% required hospitalization, highlighting the significant burden associated with non-hospitalized CAP in Spain.
