Preheated resins (PR) are considered a cementing agent option for indirect adhesive restorations of composite inlays and onlays. The objective of this in vitro study was to evaluate the marginal sealing, adhesive interface, and microtensile bond strength of indirect adhesive restorations of composites in terms of dentin cemented with PR. Standardized Class II preparations were performed on 30 extracted human premolars, impressions were taken, and indirect composite restorations were manufactured. In total, 15 restorations were cemented with PR (ENA HRi, SYNCA), and 15 restorations were cemented with self-adhesive resinous cement (RC) (Relyx U200, 3M ESPE), followed by a thermocycling regime. After that, these were segmented sagittally and longitudinally to evaluate the marginal sealing and the adhesive interface with scanning electron microscopy and confocal microscopy. Microtensile bond strength was assessed with a mechanical device (TA. XT Plus C, Stable Micro System). Statistical analysis was conducted using the two-sample Student's -test. The results showed that there is no statistically significant difference in the degree of microfiltration using PR or RC; however, microtensile bond strength is greater when the restoration is cemented with RC (278.75 N/cm ) than with PR (144.49 N/cm ), and better adjustment and sealing were observed for composite restorations with PR. The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of different composite resin in the customization of glass fiber posts (GFPs) on bond strength and failure mode. Thirty bovine roots were selected. The wall roots were reduced so that each wall had a minimum dentin thickness of 1 mm. Thirty GFPs were divided into three groups ( = 10), which received different types of customization. The first had the GFP relined by bulk-fill flowable composite resin (BF), the second group had the GFP customized by conventional regular composite resin (CR), and the third group was cemented with dual resin cements (DRC), without relining. The root were sectioned, resulting in two 1.0-mm thick slices from cervical root regions only and push-out bond strength test was performed (EMIC, Universal testing machine). To determine failure mode, a stereomicroscope was used at ×40 magnification, with a 2.5D analysis. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA ( = 0.05) and Tukey's test. BF (9.08 ± 1.9) and CR (9.17 ± 3.00) did not show a statistically significant difference ( = 0.961), regarding the bond strength test values. However, there was a statistically significant difference between DRC (5.44 ± 1.89) and the others ( < 0.05). BF (66.66%) and the CR group (47.61%) presented a predominantly failure mode type 6 mixed between resin cement and composite. While the highest failure index of the DRC group was type 2 adhesive between resin cement and dentin (47.61%). The aim of the study was to analyze the correlation between periodontitis severity in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with CD4/CD8 lymphocytes ratio and cytomegalovirus gamma immunoglobulin (IgG CMV) level. This is a descriptive study using a cross-sectional approach that included 93 subjects who were diagnosed with SLE in Rheumatology Department, Saiful Anwar Hospital, during 2017 to 2019. Periodontitis severity was assessed by periodontal Index (PI). CD4/CD8 lymphocyte ratio was determined using flow cytometry and IgG CMV levels using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The differences among the three groups were analyzed using analysis of variance. Correlation among the groups was calculated using Spearman/Pearson correlation coefficient test, while regression analysis was done using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. The mean of periodontitis severity and standard deviation in SLE was 2.66 ± 1.02. There were negative correlation between CD4/CD8 lymphocyte ratio with periodontal index ( = -0.971) and positive correlation between IgG CMV level with periodontal index ( = 0.977). Inverted CD4/CD8 ratio and IgG CMV were found associated with periodontitis severity in SLE patient.
