Although COVID-19 in pregnant women and their neonates has been demonstrated, there is not enough evidence about how this vertical transmission occurs. This report describes a SARS-CoV-2 infection in a 21-year-old mother-daughter duo at the time of birth, focusing on the viral RNA detection in the stool of both and the human breast milk.Research, collaboration, and knowledge exchange are critical to global efforts to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Different healthcare economies are faced with different challenges in implementing effective strategies to address AMR. Building effective capacity for research to inform AMR-related strategies and policies is recognised as an important contributor to success. Interdisciplinary, intersector, as well as international collaborations are needed to span global to local efforts to tackle AMR. The development of reciprocal, long-term partnerships between collaborators in high-income and in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) needs to be built on principles of capacity building. Using case studies spanning local and international research collaborations to codesign, implement, and evaluate strategies to tackle AMR, we have evaluated and build upon the ESSENCE criteria for capacity building in LMICs. The first case study describes the local codesign and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) in the state of Kerala in India. The second case study describes an international research collaboration investigating AMR surgical patient pathways in India, the UK, and South Africa. We describe the steps undertaken to develop robust, agile, and flexible AMS research and implementation teams. Notably, investing in capacity building ensured that the programmes described in these case studies were sustained through the current severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus pandemic. Although participants who endorsed "Effective" (OR 6.60, 95% CI 3.01-14.49) and "Good attributes" (OR 3.17, 95% CI 1.51-6.66) were more likely to have high LARC acceptability than those who endorsed "Scary" (OR 0.28, 95% CI (0.13-0.61)) and "Not for me" (OR 0.07, 95% CI 0.01-0.41) factors, approximately 10% of participants with high LARC acceptability endorsed "Scary" or "Bad for health" attitudes, whereas 54% of those with low LARC acceptability endorsed "Effective" attitudes. Although most participants had high LARC acceptability and valued contraceptive effectiveness, the association between LARC attitudes and acceptability is nuanced. However, loading-unrelated aspects of trabecular architecture remain unclear. We used synchrotron radiation-based X-ray microtomography to study the 3D microarchitecture of newly formed trabecular tissue in a defect produced in the cortical region of the rat tibia diaphysis, in the absence (7, 14, and 21 days) or the presence (21 days) of carbonated hydroxyapatite/alginate (cHA) microspheres. This work provides the first evidence that the woven bone trabecular network, formed during the healing process, displays a well-organized 3D microarchitecture consisting of nodes with 3 (3-N), 4 (4-N) and 5 (5-N) connecting trabeculae, with a mean relative abundance of (3-N)/(4-N)/(5-N) = 66/24/7, for the analyzed periods. The measured inter-trabecular angles (ITA) distribution presented a Gaussian profile, with mean value at 115° for 3-N nodes, and 105° for 4-N nodes, close to the angles of idealized 3D regular struc is spatially organized according to the principle of tensegrity.
