It was a late summer evening, it was late in the evening, and Jack and his friends decided to take the road to the cabin for the weekend. They'd heard a lot of stories about the cabin and its intriguing history, and were excited to explore it.
 
 When it was their turn to arrive, the house was exactly as they had imagined it.  Jack and his buddies began to explore the cabin with his friends. They headed to the second floor and discovered a bedroom that had a large four-poster bed and windows with views towards the forest. The room was stuffed with old books and trinkets.
 
 On the lower level, they discovered an enormous living room that had the piano and fireplace. They also discovered the dining area with an older wooden table as well as chairs.
 
 Inside the kitchen they found an old wood-burning stove, an old kitchen sink along with various pots and pans. All was covered with an incredibly thick layer of dust, however there was something comforting about it.
 
 While they explored the cabin, the sun set and darkness fell over the sky. Jack and his buddies chose to start an open fire in the fireplace, and then sit around the fire to chat.
 
 While they were talking while they talked, they heard a peculiar noise emanating from outside of the cabin. Jack demanded his fellows to remain quiet and pay attention. They heard a sound that seemed to be emanating through the trees.
 
 Jack and his companions decided to investigate the sound and ventured to the forest. They were able to follow the sound until they came upon an old abandoned cabin. They were astonished to find that the noise came directly from the inside of the building.

 Jack and his friends were afraid to go into the cabin and so they decided to go to their own cabin and look around the next day.
 
 After a few days, the group went back to the cabin that was abandoned. They opened the door and saw an elderly person sitting in an chair by the fireplace. His attire was formal and wore the longest white beard.

 The old man greeted them and told them he was calling the door to their home the night prior. The man explained that he had been in search of someone who could help him. He said that his name was Mr. Smith and he was searching for his long-lost son. He had been searching for him for a long time and had heard rumors that he might be living in the region.
 
 Jack and his companions offered to help the Mr. Smith find his son. They searched the area and finally found him in a town nearby.
 
 When Jack and his buddies came back to their cabin with the help of Mr. Smith's son, they were welcomed with a joyous reunion. He. Smith thanked Jack and his fellow guests for their help and invited them to return anytime.
 
 Following this experience, Jack and his friends vowed to always remember the mysterious knocking at the wooden cabin. They knew that they had been through something unique and they would never forget the experience.
