The role of radiology in medicine and healthcare is rapidly expanding worldwide, but awareness about this field among medical students is poor. This is the first study to assess Syrian medical students' knowledge and attitude regarding radiology. This is a cross-sectional study conducted at the Syrian Private University, on November 8, 2019, on the International Day of Radiology during the war crisis. Data were collected through self-administered surveys and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 25.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA). The results revealed adequate knowledge about the basics of radiology. 73.6% of the students had previously heard about interventional radiology. There were slight misconceptions with certain points in each section, especially those pertaining to the radiation exposure of each imaging method. Finally, the students expressed low interest in radiology as a future career (24.5%). The level of awareness can affect a student's decision in considering radiology as a future career. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of collecting system invasion (CSI) on multiphasic CT, validate the pathological findings, and investigate the relationship between CSI and clinical outcomes in patients with renal cell carcinomas (RCC). Patients pathologically diagnosed with RCC between January 2008 and December 2017 were retrospectively enrolled in this study. They were divided into two groups according to the presence of CSI on multiphasic CT images. Patients' clinical characteristics, radiological findings, and overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS) rates were analyzed and compared between the groups. In addition, the correlation of radiological findings with pathological findings was investigated. Among the included 347 kidneys of 340 patients, CSI was observed in 11 kidneys (3%; 95% confidence interval, 1.3-5.0%). In all the 11 kidneys, the tumors were pathologically diagnosed as clear cell RCC, and in one kidney, the tumor also had sarcomatoid features. When pathological CSI served as the standard of reference, the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of CSI on CT were 50%, 99.7%, and 97.1%, respectively. The OS and RFS rates were not significantly different between patients with CSI on CT and those without CSI. This study found that the prevalence of RCC-related CSI was 3%. Because of the low prevalence, we cannot exclude the possibility that CSI on CT would be associated with the OS and RFS. To determine the potential predictors of antegrade ureteral stenting (AUS) failure in patients with malignant and benign ureteral obstruction. We retrospectively evaluated 116 AUS procedures performed in 80 patients for ureteral obstruction due to malignant and benign causes. Variables such as etiology for obstruction, ureter shape, previous treatment regimen, history of ileal loop diversion, and presence of percutaneous nephrostomy were recorded. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression methods were used between these variables and stent failure. Antegrade ureteral stenting was performed as single stage in 24 procedures (n 24/116, 21%) and performed as a two-step approach after percutaneous nephrostomy in 92 procedures (n 92/116, 79%). Ureteral stent was successfully deployed in 112 AUS procedures (n 112/116, 96.5%). In 35 of these successful procedures, the patients were referred to our department due to prior failed retrograde ureteral stenting (RUS). Subsequent stent failure occurred in 40 promy was found to be a significant risk factor for subsequent stent failure in our study cohort.The original version of this article, published on 15 August 2019, unfortunately contained a mistake. To evaluate the prediction performance of deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) based on ultrasound (US) images for the assessment of breast cancer molecular subtypes. A dataset of 4828 US images from 1275 patients with primary breast cancer were used as the training samples. DCNN models were constructed primarily to predict the four St. Gallen molecular subtypes and secondarily to identify luminal disease from non-luminal disease based on the ground truth from immunohistochemical of whole tumor surgical specimen. US images from two other institutions were retained as independent test sets to validate the system. The models' performance was analyzed using per-class accuracy, positive predictive value (PPV), and Matthews correlation coefficient (MCC). To describe the psychosocial protective and risk factors for perinatal mental health identified in a sample of Aboriginal women's Kimberley Mum's Mood Scale (KMMS) assessments and explore the role of these factors in their screening assessment and diagnostic outcome. We used a mixed methods approach to retrospectively analyse a cross-sectional study dataset of 91 completed KMMS assessments. This included categorising the clinical notes from the KMMS psychosocial yarn into 'risk' and 'protective' factors and describing these categories, describing the number and type of risk and protective factors associated with different KMMS risk assessment categories (no, low, medium, high), and exploring relationships between these risk and protective factors and diagnosis of perinatal depression and/or anxiety. Protective factors were recorded for the vast majority of the women; the most prominent was positive family relationships. When protective and risk factors were stratified by KMMS risk category, women in the higher risk group less commonly had specific protective factors (11-33% high vs 61-100% no risk) and more commonly had risk factors (22-67% high vs 6-28% no risk) than women with lower KMMS assessed risk.
