The controversial factors are serum level of cortisol, thyroid peroxidase autoantibodies status, acculturation, traditional confinement practices. Skin-to-skin care, higher concentrations of DHA in mothers' milk, greater seafood consumption, healthy dietary patterns, multivitamin supplementation, fish and PUFA intake, calcium, Vitamin D, zinc and possibly selenium are protective factors. Thirteen risk factors were identified, but five factors still controversial due to the insufficient of the evidence. What's more, skin-to-skin care and some nutrition related factors are protective factors against PPD. Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms can be triggered by several lifestyle factors, including psychological distress, short sleep duration, and diet. It is poorly known which physiological mechanisms are involved, but the autonomic nervous system (as a key mediator of the stress response) is a likely candidate. We aimed to investigate the associations between selected lifestyle factors, measures of stress physiology, and GI symptoms. This is a longitudinal study of 1002 office employees (52% male, mean age 39±10years), who were asked to report their GI symptoms, psychological distress, sleep times, and intake of caffeine, alcohol, and soft drinks for 5days. Skin conductance, heart rate / variability, and acceleration were automatically recorded using wearable sensors. 850 participants from this study were eligible for analysis. We computed within-person correlations between the variables and used mediation analysis to test causal models. Sleep duration (ρ=-0.12, p<0.001) and psychological distress (ρ=0.19, p<0.001) were significantly though weakly associated with GI symptoms. The physiological variables were not or weakly associated with GI symptoms in this study. The association between sleep duration and GI symptoms was largely mediated by psychological distress (61%). Short sleep and psychological distress predict GI symptoms in office workers. Further research is needed to unravel the physiological mechanisms mediate this association. We agree with Dr Pallua et al on the tremendous changes that are taking place in pathology, all leading toward greater role of digitalization in the field of pathology, both in terms of consultation and teaching. In particular, distance teaching using digital pathology will grow into a mainstream mode of pathology teaching, something that has been reinforced by COVID-19.Phlebosclerotic colitis (PC) is a rare chronic ischemic colitis caused by venous reflux disorder. It is also called idiopathic mesenteric phlebosclerosis (IMP) due to unknown etiology. The disease is characterized by sclerosis of mesenteric vein and its branches as well as fibrosis, hyaline degeneration, calcification, thickening of colon wall. CT images show linear calcification in the colon mucosa as well as mesenteric vein and its branches. Endoscopy shows purple-blue mucosa with multiple erosion and ulceration. Microscopically, the colon mucosa shows fibrosis, hyaline degeneration and extensive thickening. The most characteristic lesion is fibrosis and calcification of the vessels especially the veins. Arteries in all layers of colon are also involved, but the injury is significant mild and less. We collected 10 confirmed patients from 2012 to 2019 in our hospital, studied their clinical histories in detail, summarized typical changes of CT images, endoscopic images and pathological sections, and made a detail follow-up. In addition to typical pathological changes, we also found that gardenia or its metabolites may be the pathogenic factor. Probablely, geniposide which is metabolized to genipin by β-glucosidase of colon flora in proximal colon, results in venous sclerosis. PC is occult onset and irreversible without special symptoms in the early stage, but it will also be stable after removing the pathogenic ingredient. Most of patients may be "cured" by appropriate conservative medication and stopping drinking. Contrary, inappropriate surgery may "trigger" the acute ischemia which results in obstruction rapidly. We hope our colleagues pay attention to the unique lesion and make early diagnosis and treatment. Computerized cognitive assessment facilitates the incorporation of multi-domain cognitive monitoring into routine clinical care. The predictive validity of computerized cognitive assessment among people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS) has scarcely been investigated. To explore the associations between brain volumes and cognitive scores from a computerized cognitive assessment battery (CAB, NeuroTrax) among PwMS. PwMS were evaluated with the CAB and underwent brain MRI within 40days. Cognitive assessment yielded age- and education-adjusted scores in 9 cognitive domains memory, executive function, attention, information processing speed, visual spatial, verbal function, motor skills, problem solving, and working memory. The global cognitive score (GCS) is the average of all domain scores. MRI brain and lesion volumes were assessed with icobrain ms, a fully automated tissue and lesion segmentation and quantification software. 91 PwMS were included [Age 52.1±11.7years, 64 (70%) female, EDSS 3.4±2.0, 79 (87%) with a relapsing remitting course]. Significant correlations were found between the GCS and whole brain, white matter, grey matter, thalamic, lateral ventricles, hippocampal and lesion volumes (Correlation coefficients 0.46, 0.40, 0.25, 0.42, -0.36, 0.21, -0.3, respectively). Regression analysis revealed that lateral ventricles and thalamic volumes were the most consistent predictors of all cognitive domain scores. Computerized cognitive scores were significantly associated with quantified MRI. These findings support the predictive validity of multi-domain computerized cognitive assessment for people with multiple sclerosis.
