Although BBB disruption is known to occur in patients with CNS lymphoma, a direct link between these two has not been shown. Herein, abundant deposition of the blood coagulation protein fibrinogen around B-cell lymphoma was detected in CNS lymphoma patients and in the CNS parenchyma in an orthotopic mouse model. Functional enrichment analysis of unbiased cerebrospinal fluid proteomics of CNS B-cell lymphoma patients showed that coagulation protein networks were highly connected with tumor-associated biological signaling pathways. In vivo two-photon imaging demonstrated that lymphoma growth was associated with BBB disruption, and in vitro experiments identified a role for fibrinogen in promoting lymphoma cell adhesion. Overall, these results identify perivascular lymphoma clustering at sites of fibrinogen deposition, and suggest that fibrinogen may be a target for pharmacologic intervention in metastatic B-cell lymphoma associated with BBB disruption.Long noncoding RNAs play critical roles in cellular homeostasis, and long noncoding RNA H19 (H19) is implicated in several pathologic conditions. The putative role of H19 in the pathogenesis and progression of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD) is not yet understood. Therefore, a series of in vivo and in vitro experiments were designed to investigate the potential roles of H19 in neuronal apoptosis and cognitive dysfunction in HIBD. H19 expression was decreased in HIBD rat models established by partial occlusion of carotid artery. H19 bound to and decreased the expression of miR-107, which also increased VEGF expression. H19 overexpression reduced neuronal apoptosis and alleviated cognitive dysfunction in HIBD rats. The up-regulation of miR-107 reversed the protective effects conferred by H19. In addition, the cell model of HIBD was established by oxygen-glucose deprivation in neuronal cells used. H19 overexpression in oxygen-glucose deprivation neurons increased B-cell lymphoma-2 and decreased B-cell lymphoma-2-associated X, total and cleaved caspase-3 expressions. Taken together, the results showed that H19 expresses at a low level in HIBD. H19 overexpression decreased miR-107 and increased VEGF expression, which resulted in repressed neuronal apoptosis and alleviated cognitive dysfunction. This study reports on data from 14,516 males aged 15-55years who participated in Wave 1 of the Australian Longitudinal Study of Male Health (Ten to Men). Group differences in self-reported conformity to masculine norms (CMNI-22), current depressive symptoms (PHQ-9), and self-reported 12-month depression history were examined for males aged 15-17years, 18-25years, 26-35years, 36-50years, and 51-55years. Generalised linear models were used to examine the relationships between these variables across age groups. To assess the prevalence and clinical relevance of anti-Jo-1 autoantibodies in a representative sample of patients with definite dermatomyositis (DM). This retrospective cohort study took place from 2005 to 2020 and assessed 118 adult patients from a tertiary center who were diagnosed with definite DM. A commercial kit was used to detect anti-Jo-1 autoantibodies. The presence of anti-Jo-1 autoantibodies was observed in 10 out of 118 (8.5%) patients with definite DM. The following variables were comparable between individuals with and without anti-Jo-1 autoantibodies age at diagnosis, sex, ethnicity, disease duration, follow-up period, recurrence rate, complete clinical response, death rate, and cancer incidence. There was no difference in clinical features between groups, except for an increased prevalence of "mechanic's hands," joint involvement, and lung disease, as well as a reduced occurrence of skin findings in patients positive for anti-Jo-1 autoantibodies. No anti-Jo-1-positive patients went into remission; they required greater use of glucocorticoids and immunosuppressive drugs.
