CTA is preferred over fl3D-ce MRA for the preoperative assessment of hepatic artery anatomy in children receiving LT, both at ages less then 6 years and ≥6 years. Gene amplification has been shown to provide resistance to glyphosate in several weed species, including Hordeum glaucum populations in South Australia. The stability of 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS) gene copies in resistant populations in the presence or absence of glyphosate selection has not been determined. Applying glyphosate to a cloned plant resulted in an increase in resistance and EPSPS copy number in the progeny of that plant compared to the untreated clone. The LD (herbicide concentration required for 50% mortality) increased by 75% to 79% in the progeny of the treated clones compared to the untreated in both populations (YP-17 and YP-16). EPSPS copy number estimates were higher in treated individuals compared to untreated individuals with an average of seven copies compared to six in YP-16 and 11 compared to six in YP-17. There was a positive correlation (R =0.78) between EPSPS copy number and LD of all populations. One hundred and four dogs with nodal B-cell lymphoma were treated with a response-based CHOP (RBCHOP) protocol modified based on response to individual drugs during the first chemotherapy cycle. Dogs achieving complete (CR) or partial response (PR) at week 3, following treatment with vincristine and cyclophosphamide, received RBCHOP 1 (n = 72), a protocol sequentially rotating vincristine, cyclophosphamide, and doxorubicin. Dogs without a detectable response at week 3 that subsequently achieved CR or PR following treatment with doxorubicin received RBCHOP 2 (n = 14), in which four doses of doxorubicin were given consecutively followed by vincristine and cyclophosphamide. Dogs that failed to respond at week 3 and then to doxorubicin at week 5 assessment were offered rescue chemotherapy (RBCHOP 3, n = 18). Median progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival time (OST) were similar between RBCHOP 1 (PFS 210 days, OST 354 days) and RBCHOP 2 (PFS 220 days, OST 456 days), but significantly shorter for RBCHOP 3 (PFS 34 days, OST 80.5 days, P less then  0.001). No presenting signalment nor hematologic variable differentiated patient cohort, however, dogs in RBCHOP 2 and RBCHOP 3 were more likely to have a lymphocytosis at diagnosis (P = 0.02 and 0.04, respectively). Protocol modification based on response during the first cycle resulted in similar toxicity profiles and outcomes to previously published variants of CHOP, and prognosis remained poor for dogs failing to respond during the first treatment cycle. Despite intentions to increase user participation in the development of health services, the concept of participation and how it unfolds within studies with a participatory design has rarely been addressed. The aim of this study was to describe how user participation manifests itself within a co-design process involving patients, significant others and health-care professionals, including potential enablers or barriers. This study was conducted in the context of a co-design process of a new person-centred transition from a hospital to continued rehabilitation in the home involving three patients with stroke, one significant other and 11 professionals. Data were collected by observations during the workshops, semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. Four categories 'Composition of individuals for an adaptive climate'; 'The balancing of roles and power'; 'Different perspectives as common ground for a shared understanding'; and 'Facilitating an unpredictable and ever-adaptive process', with all together nine subcategories, resulted from the analysis. Participation varied between individuals, groups and steps within the process, and on the topic of discussions and the motivation to contribute. Participation is not something that is realized by only applying participatory design methodology. Participation manifests itself through the interaction of the participants and their skills to handle different perspectives, roles and assignments. Participation is enabled by individual, group and facilitating aspects. Co-design processes should allow for varying levels of participation among the participants and throughout the process. Patients, significant others and health-care professionals participated as co-designers of a care transition model between hospital and home. Hydrogels that have absorbed a liquid containing a toxicant are a novel form of bait-delivery for ant control. Here, we study the abilities of Argentine ant (Linepithema humile) workers to imbibe liquid from hydrogels. We quantified feeding behavior with (i) hydrogels containing different sucrose concentrations (20, 30, 40 and 50% w/w); (ii) hydrogels versus liquid droplets; and (iii) hydrogel age (air exposure time). We also performed a field assay to assess visits by L. humile and other ant species to hydrogels. Ingested volume and feeding time decreased with increasing sucrose concentrations, but the number and duration of pauses were similar. Feeding from hydrogels was slower than from a liquid droplet and ants imbibed less liquid and fed for shorter times from hydrogels. Feeding time increased with hydrogel age, whereas ingested volume decreased and approached zero after 120 min under laboratory conditions. In the field, ants attended the hydrogels during the full 120-min study period. When L. humile workers found a hydrogel, they monopolized it to the exclusion of other ant species.
