502, p =0.008, n=26) and mortality rate (r=0.620, p =0.002, n=22) in Asian population. However, no significant role of ACE I/D polymorphism was observed with recovery rate of patients from SARS-CoV-2 infection (r=-0.208, p =0.352, n=22). Allele D of ACE insertion/deletion polymorphism is associated with the rate of infection and mortality in the Asian population. Remarkably, they have other abilities such as inheritance of self-renewal and de-differentiation. Hence, targeting CSCs is considered a potential anti-cancer therapeutic strategy. Recent advances in the identification of biomarkers to recognize CSCs and the development of new techniques to evaluate tumorigenic and carcinogenic roles of CSCs are instrumental to this approach. Elucidation of signaling pathways that regulate CSCs colony progression and drug resistance are critical in establishing effective targeted therapies. CSCs play a central key role in immunomodulation, immune evasion and effector immunity, which alters immune system balancing. These include mTOR, SHH, NOTCH and Wnt/β-catering in cancer progression. In this review article, we discuss the importance of these CSCs pathways in cancer therapy. Parkinson's disease (PD) is the most common neurodegenerative disease caused by the loss of dopamine chemicals resulting in urinary incontinence, gastrointestinal dysfunction, gait impairment and mitochondrial dysfunction. Study investigated urinary metabolic profiles of patients with idiopathic PD as compared to healthy controls (HC) to identify the potential biomarkers. Urine samples were collected from 100 PD subjects and 50 HC using standard protocol. Metabolomic analyses were performed using high resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The integral values of 17 significant metabolites were estimated and concentration values were calculated, which were subjected to univariate and multivariate statistical analysis. We found significantly increased levels of ornithine, phenylalanine, isoleucine, β-hydroxybutyrate, tyrosine and succinate in the urine of patients with PD in comparison with HC. These metabolites exhibited area under the curve greater than 0.60 on ROC curve analysis. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/Gefitinib.html We also observed a significant association between succinate concentration and UPDRS motor scores of PD. Metabolic pathway alterations were observed in aromatic amino acid metabolism, ketone bodies synthesis, branched chain amino acid metabolism and ornithine metabolism. Comprehensive metabolomic profiling revealed variations in urinary signatures associated with severity of idiopathic PD. This profiling relies on non-invasive sampling and is complementary to existing clinical modalities. The prognosis of prostate cancer (PCa) is related to tumor metastasis, among which 80% were bone metastasis. In this study, we investigated the correlation between diverse clinical factors and bone metastasis in PCa patients and identified potential biomarkers of bone metastasis in PCa patients. The clinical data of 150 PCa patients were reviewed consecutively from January 2015 to March 2020 in this study. The relationships between clinical characteristics, serum biomarkers and bone metastasis in PCa patients were analyzed, respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was applied to identify potential markers of bone metastasis in prostate cancer. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to explore the diagnostic values of potential biomarkers. Compared with the PCa patients without bone metastasis, the serum levels of CA-125, T-PSA, F-PSA, CYFRA21-1 and ProGRP were significantly elevated in PCa patients with bone metastasis. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed thatcombination with other commonly used biomarkers. Serum ProGRP might be a potential tumor marker of bone metastasis in prostate cancer, which may contribute to the early diagnosis of bone metastasis when used alone or in combination with other commonly used biomarkers. Vaginal radical trachelectomy to preserve fertility in women with early stage cervical cancer was first described by Dargent in 1994. Nowadays, robot-assisted abdominal laparoscopic radical is a new alternative. We want to share our first experience of robot-assisted radical trachelectomy. We report the case of a 28 years-old women with an early stage cervical cancer (1B1) and has a wish for preserved fertility (no anterior pregnancy). She undergoes a robot-assisted laparoscopic radical trachelectomy. We divide the technique into 10 surgical steps. The duration of the surgery was 4H30 with a bleeding < 100cc. The post operative period was simple without complications. Since the intervention, we perform 3 more robot-assisted radical trachelectomy. None of them have a complication during the surgery and the post operative period was simple. Robot-assisted laparoscopic radical trachelectomy is a safe and acurate technique. We want to share our recent experience by sharing this video. The surgeon in our hospipal are used to pratic robot-assisted laparoscopic. However, it was our first robot-assisted laparoscopic radical trachelectomy. Thus we would like to demonstrate the feasibility and the reproducibility of this technique.
