The Sarcoma Lung Metastasis Score, which was defined as the total score of these three factors, reliably predicted 3-year survival (score 0, 89.5%; 1, 63.2%; 2, 39.0%; 3, 10.5%). Our newly proposed simple Sarcoma Lung Metastasis Score appears to be a useful prognostic predictor for sarcoma patients with pulmonary metastases, in that it could be helpful for the selection of appropriate treatments for these patients. Patients with akinetic-rigid Parkinson's disease (AR-PD) are more prone to cognitive decline and depressive symptoms than tremor-dominant PD (TD-PD) patients. The right fronto-insular cortex (rFIC), as a key node of salience network, plays a critical role in the switching between central executive network and default mode network. In this study, we explored the functional connectivity mode of rFIC with triple-brain networks, namely default mode network, salience network, and central executive network, in two motor subtypes of PD. We recruited 44 PD patients (including the TD-PD group and AR-PD group) and 18 age-matched healthy controls (HCs). We performed functional connectivity (FC) analysis of resting-state functional MRI. Compared with TD-PD, decreased FC were found in the right insular cortex and bilateral anterior cingulate gyrus in AR-PD. Compared with HCs, decreased FC in the bilateral insula, the anterior cingulate gyrus, the precentral gyrus, and the right medial frontal gyrus were found; therein, the FC value of rFIC-precentral gyrus was positively correlated with the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale-II score in AR-PD (p = 0.0482, r = 0.4162). https://www.selleckchem.com/ATM.html While TD-PD showed decreased FC in the left insula as well as bilateral anterior cingulate gyrus when compared with HCs, and the FC value of the rFIC-left insula was positively correlated with its Hamilton Depression Rating Scale score (p = 0.02, r = 0.50). The functional connectivity mode of rFIC in AR-PD differed from that in TD-PD. The decreased rFIC FC with the other nodes of salience network might be a potential indicator for AR-PD patients prone to develop cognitive decline and depressive symptoms. The Manual Ability Measure-36 (MAM-36) has been used to assess subjective upper limb function in people with several neurological and non-neurological diseases. Besides, the MAM-36 is one of the most commonly used patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS). The aim was to translate and conduct cross-cultural adaptation of the MAM-36 into Turkish and investigate its psychometric properties in pwMS. The MAM-36 was translated and culturally adapted into Turkish. Two hundred pwMS were recruited for the psychometric study. Hand skills, handgrip strength, upper limb spasticity, disability level, and quality of life were evaluated by the validated performance-based tests and questionnaires including the Arm Function in Multiple Sclerosis Questionnaire (AMSQ) which is a validated MS-specific PROM to assess upper limb function. MAM-36 was significantly correlated with the performance-based tests and questionnaires, EDSS, age, and disease duration (p < 0.05). MAM-36 and AMSQ were strongly correlated (r  = - 0.90, p < 0.01). PwMS with spasticity had significantly lower MAM-36 scores compared to those without spasticity (p < 0.01). Internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha = 0.97) and test-retest reliability (ICC = 0.97) was high. The Turkish version of MAM-36 has been found as a valid and reliable method for measuring upper limb function in pwMS. Bacterial isolates GRC065, GRC066, GRC093, and GRC140 were identified as Pseudomonas rhodesiae. These bacterial isolates tolerate cadmium and have abilities for phosphate solubilization, siderophore production, indole acetic acid (IAA) synthesis, and ACC deaminase activity, suggesting that they are plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria. Bacterial inoculation in Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings showed that P. rhodesiae strains increase total fresh weight and number of lateral roots concerning non-inoculated plants. These results indicated that P. rhodesiae strains promote A. thaliana seedlings growth by modifying the root system. On the other hand, in A. thaliana seedlings exposed to 2.5 mg/l of Cd, P. rhodesiae strains increased the number and density of lateral roots concerning non-inoculated plants, indicating that they modify the root architecture of A. thaliana seedlings exposed to cadmium. The results showed that P. rhodesiae strains promote the development of lateral roots in A. thaliana seedlings cultivated in both conditions, with and without cadmium. These results suggest that P. rhodesiae strains could exert a similar role inside the roots of T. latifolia that grow in the Cd-contaminated environment.Salmonella spp. is a high-risk bacterial pathogen that is monitored in imported animal-derived feedstuffs. Serratia fonticola is the bacterial species most frequently confused with Salmonella spp. in traditional identification methods based on biochemical characteristics, which are time-consuming and labor-intensive, and thus unsuitable for daily inspection and quarantine work. In this study, we established a duplex real-time qPCR method with invA- and gyrB-specific primers and probes corresponding to Salmonella spp. and S. fonticola. The method could simultaneously detect both pathogens in imported feedstuffs, with a minimum limit of detection for Salmonella spp. and S. fonticola of 197 copies/μL and 145 copies/μL, respectively (correlation coefficient R2 = 0.999 in both cases). The amplification efficiency for Salmonella spp. and S. fonticola was 98.346% and 96.49%, respectively. Detection of fishmeal was consistent with method GB/T 13091-2018, and all seven artificially contaminated imported feed samples were positively identified.
