Paradoxically, LA size in athletes may overlap the enlargement observed in patients with cardiac pathology. Current knowledge is mainly derived from studies of athletes, and little is known about cardiac adaptations to physical activity (PA) in the general population. We explored the association between objectively measured PA and LA volume index (LAVi), and between LAVi enlargement and indices of diastolic dysfunction stratified by PA-level. Our study included 1573 participants from the population-based Tromsø Study (2015-16). PA was assessed with an ActiGraph wGT3X-BT accelerometer. Echocardiography was performed according to current guidelines. The associations between PA and LAVi, and between LAVi enlargement and indices of diastolic dysfunction were estimated by univariable and multivariable linear regression analyses, adjusted for sex, age, and cardiovascular risk factors. Our multiple adjusted analyses showed significant linear associations between PA and LAVi in ages less then 70 years, and between PA and LAVi in participants with normal diastolic function. LAVi enlargement is only associated with diastolic dysfunction in the most inactive participants.The objective of this review was to synthesize existing evidence on mobile health (mHealth) interventions geared at improving HPV related knowledge, HPV vaccination intent and HPV vaccination uptake. Between November and December 2019, systematic searches were performed in the databases PubMed, Ebsco/CINAHL, Ebsco/PsycINFO, and Clarivate Analytics/Web of Science Social Science Citation Index (SSCI). We identified 805 articles of which 92 were eligible for inclusion after abstract screening. 19 articles met the inclusion criteria of the review based on full article review and all but one of the included interventions were conducted in the United States. mHealth interventions ranged from text messages, phone calls to interactive voice recordings and software on tablets. All four interventions which attempted to improve HPV knowledge and vaccination intent, reported positive findings, however, only two interventions reported statistically significant improvements between intervention and control groups. 14 interventions reported an increase in HPV vaccination uptake and vaccination series completion among the intervention groups; including when mHealth interventions were compared to control groups or non-mHealth interventions. Some factors noted in the successful interventions included frequency of messages, combinations of multiple interventions including in-person education session, written educational materials, texts alongside call or emails; tailored messages as well as participant's intent to vaccinate at baseline. mHealth interventions potentially show promise as tools in improving short-term vaccination knowledge, intent, and uptake of HPV vaccination. There is however a need to refine components which can promote mHealth interventions' success as well as for the evaluation of such interventions in different contexts and over time.Millions of Americans face food insecurity, yet a universal screening tool is not in place. Food insecurity is known to be associated with poor health outcomes such as heart disease, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension in adults, and low school performance and mental illness in children. From January 2017 through February 2017, we utilized a validated two-item screening tool to assess the prevalence of households at risk for food insecurity and conducted a focus group of pediatricians. Patients at a Federally Qualified Health Center in New Haven, Connecticut were screened. Pediatricians of the American Academy of Pediatricians comprised the focus group. 534 of 1272 screening tool respondents were at risk for food insecurity (41.4%). Male respondents had higher prevalence than females (46.3% vs 38.9%, p = 0.009), and Hispanics (34.4%) less than Whites (54.4%) and Blacks (53.8%) (p less then 0.001). Moreover, we executed a qualitative study of pediatricians' perception of food insecurity screening via a focus group. Themes that emerged from the focus group were agreement on the high importance of food insecurity screening, concern from caregivers about child neglect, and the difficulty of implementing the screening tool due to time constraints. We achieved successful implementation of the screening tool into the electronic medical record with a high completion rate of 97.9%. Identified barriers to universal screening for food insecurity include lack of efficient methods to direct food-insecure patients to resources and continued stigma regarding food insecurity. More and more today, forensic identification through deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) examination has achieved greater recognition in supporting Indonesia's law enforcement. Such examination is to determine the origin of a child, paternity cases, genealogical relation, or identifying unknown crime victims. However, along with the development of this DNA material examination, problems arise. DNA undergoes a degradation, commonly known as degraded DNA, which is one of the serious issues frequently encountered by forensic and DNA experts. Some forensic DNA experts take one of the alternatives to overcome this issue by implementing a mini primer set that is through a method to reduce the size of STR assays on DNA core locus examination. In this study, the writers conduct research using the mini primers of CSF1PO, FGA, and D21S11 of the molar teeth exposed to 500°C temperature for 20 and 30 minutes and 750°C for the same amount of time. The findings show the DNA contents of molar teeth significantly ( < 0.05) decreased as the effect of high-temperature exposure.
