We conclude that ketorolac may not be an appropriate long-term analgesic for use in loggerhead sea turtles at this dose; however, it may have some benefit as a short-term analgesic.Layered materials have great potential as cathodes for aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) because of their facile 2D Zn2+ transport channels; however, either low capacity or poor cycling stability limits their practical applications. Herein, two classical layered materials are innovatively combined by intercalating graphene into MoS2 gallery, which results in significantly enlarged MoS2 interlayers (from 0.62 to 1.16 nm) and enhanced hydrophilicity. The sandwich-structured MoS2 /graphene nanosheets self-assemble into a flower-like architecture that facilitates Zn-ion diffusion, promotes electrolyte infiltration, and ensures high structural stability. Therefore, this novel MoS2 /graphene nanocomposite exhibits exceptional high-rate capability (285.4 mA h g-1 at 0.05 A g-1 with 141.6 mA h g-1 at 5 A g-1 ) and long-term cycling stability (88.2% capacity retention after 1800 cycles). The superior Zn2+ migration kinetics and desirable pseudocapacitive behaviors are confirmed by electrochemical measurements and density functional theory computations. The energy storage mechanism regarding the highly reversible phase transition between 2H- and 1T-MoS2 upon Zn-ion insertion/extraction is elucidated through ex situ investigations. As a proof of concept, a flexible quasi-solid-state zinc-ion battery employing the MoS2 /graphene cathode demonstrates great stability under different bending conditions. This study paves a new direction for the design and on-going development of 2D materials as high-performance cathodes for AZIBs.Chinese perch, Siniperca chuatsi (Basilewsky), is one of the most commercially important cultured fishes in China. In the present study, a high-density genetic linkage map of Chinese perch was constructed by genotyping-by-sequencing technique with an F1 mapping panel containing 190 progenies. A total of 2328 SNPs were assigned to 24 linkage groups (LGs), agreeing with the chromosome haploid number in this species (n = 24). The sex-averaged map covered 97.9% of the Chinese perch genome, with the length of 1694.3 cM and a marker density of 0.7 cM/locus. The number of markers per LG ranged from 57 to 222, with a mean of 97. The length of LGs varied from 43.2 to 108.2 cM, with a mean size of 70.6 cM. The recombination rate of females was 1.51, which was higher than that of males. To better understand the distribution pattern of segregation distortion between the two sexes of Chinese perch, the skewed markers were retained and used to reconstruct the sex-specific maps. The 16 segregation distortion regions were identified on 10 LGs of the female map, while 12 segregation distortion regions on eight LGs of the male map. Among these LGs, six LGs matched between the sex-specific maps. This high-density linkage map could provide a solid basis for identifying QTL associated with economically important traits, and for implementing marker-assisted selection breeding of Chinese perch.Organic semiconductors' inherent flexibility makes them appealing for advanced applications such as wearable electronics, e-skins, or pressure sensors, and can even be used to enhance their intrinsic electronic properties. Unfortunately, these applications for organic materials are currently hindered by the lack of a quantitative understanding of the interplay between their electrical and mechanical properties. In this work, this gap is filled by presenting an accurate methodology able to predict quantitatively the effects of external deformation on the charge transport properties of any organic semiconductors. Three prototypical materials are investigated, showing that the experimental variation of charge carrier mobility with strain is fully reproduced, even in a wide range of deformations applied along different crystal axes. The results indicate that the intrinsic electro-mechanical response of the materials varies by orders of magnitude within the class of organic semiconductors, a difference rationalized observing that the mobility trend is primarily influenced by the transfer integrals' variation, rather than by a modification of the crystal phonons. In light of its robustness, accuracy, and low computational cost, this protocol represents an ideal tool to quantify the electro-mechanical response in new organic compounds, thus establishing a reliable route for a full exploitation of strain engineering in advanced technologies.China's rural population ageing situation is extremely serious, and the social network has become a very important social and environmental factor to ensure the health. This study aims to explore the association mechanism between social network types and health-related behaviours among the elderly in rural Hubei Province, China. A cross-sectional cluster sample survey method was used to investigate elderly individuals aged 60 or older. The following three results were obtained (1) the level of health-related behaviours differed significantly depending on their social network types. The rural elderly embedded in restricted and family restricted networks had lower levels of health-related behaviours than those in other networks, especially those in diverse networks; (2) Social network types were found to be significantly associated with health-related behaviours, the perceived quality of social relationships and social support and (3) Social network types not only had a direct effect on health-related behaviours (except for health-seeking behaviour), but also an indirect effect through the mediating effects of the perceived quality of social relationships and social support. Policy makers should formulate relevant measures to improve unfavourable social network types of the rural elderly, thus promoting their health.Identification of risk factors for fractures is important for improving public health. We aimed to identify which factors related to physical activity and psychosocial situation were associated with incident fractures among 30,446 middle-aged women and men, followed from 1991-1996 to 2016, in a prospective population-based cohort study. The association between the baseline variables and first incident fracture was assessed by Cox regression models, and significant risk factors were summed into fracture risk scores.
