The cytotoxicity and antioxidant activity of the NE showed dose-dependent cytotoxicity and % radical scavenging activity (%RSA). The images of giemsa staining also confirmed that the developed formulation has no impact on the morphology of cells. Scintigrams showed maximum uptake of NE in the brain. The findings suggested that the developed NE loaded with donepezil hydrochloride could serve as a new approach for the treatment of Alzheimer via nose to brain drug delivery. Graphical abstract.Presented herein are the trajectories of four women who can be considered pioneers of microbiology in Spain. Three of them have been studied before, but never presented as pioneers of microbiology, and their lives are briefly reviewed Zoe Rosinach Pedrol, a pioneering microbiologist in the health care field; Isabel Torán del Carré, in the agri-food sector; and Luz Zalduegui Gabilondo in the veterinary sciences. Nevertheless, Trinidad del Pan Arana is presented from the first time as pioneering microbiologist in the natural sciences area. All of these women developed their professional activity during the first third of the twentieth century, contributing to the establishment of microbiology as a new scientific discipline in Spain.OBJECTIVES This study aims to evaluate the reproducibility of measures of plaque morphology in serially acquired black-blood MRI of untreated atherosclerotic femoral arteries. MATERIALS AND METHODS MR studies was obtained from 42 timepoints, on 12 patients with known femoral artery atherosclerosis. Images with a 3D isotropic FLASH with DANTE-prepared black blood contrast (DASH) at a 3-T scanner were acquired at baseline, within 1 week, and at 1 month. Six of the patients were scanned additionally at 6 months. Inter-scan and inter-observer variations of arterial area/volume mea
