Therefore, early diagnosis and prevention is particularly important; SRC tumors have lower R0 resection rate and are thought to be less chemosensitive than non-SRCC. Consequently, a novel postoperative adjuvant treatment is urgently needed to improve clinical outcomes. A 41-year-old female with advanced gastric SRC carcinoma was treated with radical gastrectomy and oxaliplatin-based regimen for 6 cycles after surgery. She was suspected of recurrence with the high level of carbohydrate antigen (CA) 72-4. The gastroscopy revealed SRC carcinoma of gastric antrum and poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma in some areas. The diagnosis of postoperative pathology report was gastric cancer with stage III C (T4a, N3a, M0). The level of CA72-4 rapidly increased during the 2 follow-up after the completion of conventional treatment, ex vivo-cultured allogeneic natural killer (NK) cell infusion was offered to prevent recurrence. Intravenous injections of NK cells combination with surgical treatment and chemotherapy showed therapeutic effects in this patient with possible relapse. The patient remained disease-free 46 months after the infusion of NK cells until the latest follow-up. Quadrilateral space syndrome (QSS) is a peripheral nerve entrapment disease, which can be misdiagnosed in clinic. In the past, QSS was mainly diagnosed by clinical symptoms combined with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electromyography (EMG), and arterial angiography. There are few reports on the diagnosis of QSS by musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS) combined with clinical symptoms. A middle-aged female patient had posterolateral pain and numbness in her right shoulder for 2 months. At first, she was diagnosed as suprascapular nerve entrapment, while EMG of suprascapular nerve and axillary nerve indicated that nerve conduction was normal. Then, MRI was performed, showing the shoulder had no abnormalities, and EMG and arterial angiography of upper limb showed no abnormalities too. Finally, she was diagnosed as QSS according to MSKUS and lidocaine block test. Two sealing treatments of axillary nerve block in quadrilateral space under the guidance of MSKUS were performed. After 2 treatments, the pain and numbness in her shoulder disappeared, and her shoulder could move normally. There was no recurrence after 3 months of follow-up. A 44-year-old male with Poland syndrome presented to our institution complaining of a large bulge and fluctuation on the right chest wall. This occurred after 14 years from the initial implant surgery for correction of chest wall deformity. Upon failure of resolution by multiple aspirations, workup was carried out under suspicion of implant associated malignancy. Total Capsulectomy and implant removal was done. Histology revealed chronic inflammation with fibrosis. Implant-associated malignancy was not found. He is being followed up with no signs of recurrence. For rare cases of implant insertion such as Poland syndrome, awareness of delayed complications and workups based on suspicion of implant-associated malignancy is needed.
